I have to say that I am absolutely THRILLED that my two current favorites, Cherry Bomb and Kimber Lee, are getting chances to show their stuff and develop some personality.
Mark my words, the KimberBombs are going to essentially be the Canadian NINJAS 2.0 in that they start off goofy and get over through ridiculous means along with solid outings and great performances before eventually shifting to a more serious tone and being a main staple for upper midcard to main event for years to come.
That and I really hope Cherry Bomb gets more chances to show her stuff overall since I'm a huge fan of hers.

Just listened to this. Great listen. I too had no idea Portia Perez was involved in creative, but it makes sense as from her own storylines (the bodyslam challenge, the attire stealing) she has such a firm grasp on her character and I imagine she'd be a fantastic idea person. Cool to hear that Dave would like Io Shirai to appear in Shimmer one day and the idea of a Japanese Shimmer show sounds incredible. I was also very impressed with Candice and Velez on the iPPV so I am happy to hear that they'll hopefully be part of Shimmer's future. Lastly I know you said you don't watch much wrestling Dave, besides Shimmer I barley watch any myself, but you need to watch everything that the Shield are doing. Literally the best thing in the WWE in years.

I'd like to imagine Saraya glaring at Rhia O'Reilly after the tag match on Vol. 65, like Longshanks from Braveheart, and muttering, "Irish" under her breath...

Hey there..i attended my very first live Shimmer show in NOLA over Wrestlemania weekend (Shimmer 62), which was an absolute ton of fun! Question, does anyone happen to know if Cheerleader Melissa ever does pictures after the shows because she never came back out after the conclusion of the show and I desperately waited to get a picture with her! She has been my absolute favorite women's wrestler since I first seen her years ago in earlier Shimmer volumes.. If anyone cares to share any live pictures of her from the show..that would be awesome!!

Things worked differently at the SHIMMER show in NOLA. At the main tapings in Berwyn the wrestlers all come out at intermission to sell their merch/pose for pictures, but with the setup down there that may not have been possible.

Wrestlers were out there at NOLA. But keep in mind that she just had a 30 minute match, so there was a good chance she wouldn't have been physically able to immediately come out for a last minute meet and greet.

Yeah, Mania weekend is always a little bit different (okay, a lot different) than Berwyn. We also had to be sure to get everyone packed up and out of the locker room area quickly, to make room for the Dragon Gate USA crew immediately after our show concluded.

Something that struck me during the weekend was reinforced with the posts about the October 2014 tapings. SHIMMER is in a weird spot where arguably the real main event and #1 act in the promotion is the tag champs rather than the World Champ. Other than when Lufisto has been challenging for the title it has seemed to me that there is no real investment in the singles title matches since Melissa regained the belt from Saraya. Whereas the crowd seems to live and die with every near fall of 3G matches. Not sure if that's a huge compliment to Skater/Nakagawa or something negative about Melissa.

Not saying whether it's true or not, but I'm not sure how 3G being super over could even be construed as an argument for Melissa not being over. I will say that Nakagawa has been much more successful at drawing babyface pops than I ever though she could be, which is a testament to how great she is.

When did Tomoka turn face? When 3G started teaming, though it took Skater a while to get Nakagawa to stop cheating.

I liked Tomoka's gimmick at the start of 3G because it was like an Eddie Guerrero face in my view, she still cheated but she was so loveable that you couldn't help but love her. Do you think Skater will have to find a new partner? a bit like Del Rey and Rush but instead of a babyface trying to join a heel; a heel tries to join a babyface just for the mind-screw of it all.

Either she'll go solo and get back in contention for the title or, due to their recent history, she'll tag with Evie.
