SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES returns to live action on Saturday, April 26th at the Berwyn Eages Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago. Bell time is 4pm. Volumes 17 & 18 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed during the course of the event.
This will be the most talent loaded taping in SHIMMER company history. Our last taping featured 24 of the top women athletes in profesional wrestling, and this time around we will feature more performers than ever before! It is our goal to deliver the most complete talent lineup in women's wrestling for this taping, and are pulling out all the stops!
Who from SHIMMER's past will make their return to action on Volumes 17 & 18? Who will make their SHIMMER debut on April 26th? These questions will be answered when SHIMMER returns with its biggest taping ever!
This event is now SOLD OUT!
Mark your calendars! Saturday, April 26th SHIMMER is back in Berwyn!
We've already made plans to fly out again. Looking for a different hotel this time. To many problems at The Rodeway Inn.
Last time around I went with the Super 8 in Bridgeview, IL. I'd recommend it over the Rodeway, even if it is a bit more pricey. (Though throw in a free continental breakfast and free wifi and I think the price difference is worth it.) Cab fare from there to the Eagles club was a bit stiffer than I would've liked, though if we know ahead of time that a lot of us are going to be there, we could split rides.
How far a drive is Chicago from NYC?
About twelve hours, not factoring in any stops that would be made.
Well, I'll be there, guess I should start scouting hotels, I seem to recall a hotel right up the road from Michael Anthony's, although I can't seem to remember what it was right now for some reason, if there is that would virtually eliminate cab fares besides the ride from Ohaire. Proably going to stay away from the Roadway this time around, the price was right, but it wasn't the greatest place on earth to stay and it's location on the maps is a blatant lie, lol.
I believe the name of the hotel is ChicagolandMotel. Here's the number 708-447-7910 It was not too bad.I seem to remember them telling me not to turn the air condition on full blast.lol
Based on your air con comment I think I've stayed there for a prior show. Was the place run by some Christian folks (evidenced by some of the things posted on check-in desk)? If so it was a good enough place.
