Since AAW doesn't mail out the tickets, do we have to show an I.D at the door? Or how does it work?

They keep a list of names at the door of those who ordered. If you wanna be safe, print out your PayPal receipt, but usually you just give them your name and you're good.

The Rodeway Inn a lot of the fans stay at has a Walgreens across the street. I'm planning on driving over (full car) and see about staying with a friend's brother, but I figured it had to be posted sometime. Safe travels, everyone!

Has anyone stayed at the hotels in Bridgeview for the event? Indeed! I'm actually staying at the Days Inn again thanks to Priceline...again. It's basic and not bad if you ignore some of the stains on the boxspring ;D The area itself is not that far of a drive (I think maybe 15 minutes with traffic) and I landed it for basically half price so you can't go wrong.

I bought my airplane ticket a few days ago and I wanted to cry. Very damn expensive for a flight that's not even 2 hours. And now I have to stay one more day than I wanted to, because if I came back on monday the flight would be $100 (plus) more expensive.

Going to take cabs everywhere so I can enjoy some nice beers. Hope I don't get ripped off too badly.

Man, this being my first SHIMMER trip, I already messed up. Since Midway is the closer airport, I booked my flights to/from that and not O'Hare. Turns out, because I am going thru Midway, its not non stop (O'Hare would have been) and it involves me being on a plane at 6 AM tomorrow. If I went thru the other airport, I could have left on a later flight and made my life a lot more simple.
Live and learn I guess. I'll do it right the next time.

But is the non-stop flight cheaper or more expensive?

Ok, after spending 5 minutes here, its my official opinion that the Rodeway Inn sucks. I know its a Shimmer favorite but its really ghetto and has a lot of issues. Never staying here again.

I like the Rodeway Inn for pure convenience. I'm the kind of guy who just likes a base, and this place is fine.
