Search for Walgreens too. There appear to be about five of them in a two mile radius from the venue. These stores are everywhere. I wouldn't worry about being near a convenience store when searching for hotels.
The Rodeway is one of the few "hotel" hotels that's very close to the venue. It's just the way it is, which I'm guessing is why everyone goes there. Just remember, there are bus and trains available. Plus, despite our hostility to you on here, we all are swell people. Asking for rides is highly recommended. We won't bite!

I'm an only child, Pisces aggressively flirting with sobriety (Daizee friendly, but breaking on her, too. She makes me overeat, my weight has fluctuated dramatically often, and I'm going to try to sculpt a body once I get slim again. It'll be my new hobby to replace "raging.") It's nothing against you guys that I don't want to go to a bar after the show. I have a mouth I should watch - but I also think I see things in a different aspect then a lot of people and that's why I ask questions - I'm just dumb by asking them obnoxiously, or bringing them up obnoxiously. I don't blame anyone for bashing me or being outraged - I need to learn how to express myself like an adult. At the same time, at least I know where I'm coming from. I think I'll like being on the end seat of a row. Walgreens it is! Good looking out.

Yes. Be advised that last SHIMMER weekend, they had a standing room crowd though.

Front row tickets - CHECK. Airfare - CHECK.
Now alls that's left is accommodations. I realize Rodeway Inn is the recommended spot, but I am looking around. Considering a bed and breakfast, or somewhere closer to the airport. Although nearer to the airport will cost a lot more taxi money, and the Walgreens across from Rodeway Inn is attractive. Still, I've never been Chicago before and I don't travel nearly as much as I used to. I figure being in the Windy City may be of higher "tourist" value, especially if I am looking for a nice meal after the show. Guess I'll wait to see what the tax return holds. As much as I'd like to book a fancy hotey in the city and pretend I'm a king, I'll probably just wind up at the Best Western. Nothing wrong with that, probably makes better sense, actually!

The Berwyn Eagles Club is 2 miles from a Pink Line subway stop, and 2.5 miles from a Blue Line stop. You may need a cab to get to those stops, but you can get all over Chicagoland for just $2.25 per ride! Don't force yourself to take a cab hotel to venue each day. Save as much as you can, so you can spend more at the show. You can read more at TransitChicago.com Now regarding a hotel, you don't seem to be loyal to any brand, but rather location and cost. Consider the deep discount listings. They give you a star rating, and general area, and a very low price. You don't know the brand prior to purchasing, and you have to pay in full ahead of time, but you can save a ton. And since you don't have a car, you don't have to worry about getting stuck at a place with high price parking. I use Priceline for this, but there are also sites such as Expedia and Travelocity. I do this everytime for SHIMMER, and I always get a price that's lower than the Rodeway, that's 2-3 stars better quality (and just 20 minutes away). Oh, and really, don't worry about Walgreens. Again, they're everywhere, and that doesn't count all the various OfficeMax and Staples stores that also surely carry posters.

Good thinking, in the past I used to shy away from those sites bc I'd split rooms with people and they can't actually guarantee bed numbers or sizes, but whereas I'm solo it's the way to go. I noticed that when I saw prices for rooms on Expedia were like 100 bucks less than the price I saw for similar rooms on regular websites, after I had bought my airfare from them.
As for public transportation, good looking out! Sometimes I shy away from the ole subway, but that seems like the very best option.

Speaking of which, I just booked my hotel. Priceline gave me the Holiday Inn Oak Brook, 3 stars, for $40 a night. 20 minute drive from the venue.

To be fair (no pun intended) Flair's chops have nothing against Martinez's.
I have had mixed feelings on Mercedes throughout my volume 1-40 binge, because a) I really had a strong dislike, personally, for the match against Lexxus and I hate WSU. and b) She throws those chops a bit hard!!!
But I eventually decided that she is way too amazing a wrestler to have mixed feelings for, and thus I call myself a full fledged fan of her's. If she wants to make people bleed, then people will bleed. She went easy on Britani, at least.
I do miss her matches with SDR.

P.S.
Speaking of Mercedes, I love how she throws the Big Bossman uppercut!

I don't think I've ever actually seen Portia at an afterparty. She was there in Fall 2010.
