I have seen the light. The goal is to put over the fans with royalty free work, and to eventually try to get the wrestlers themselves to buy these DVDs. I hope the matches are better than this concept; trying to get the money they paid to the wrestlers back. Boy please.

I'm not sure what donutseeds is trying to save the world from, but god bless him for trying. Where there's a windmill, someone needs to tilt at it.

I think Dave and his staff do a great job on the discs/art work. This volume is no exception..

Are you really Lenny Leonard? Sure am.. I watched some of the early stuff intermittently when Dave and I would do production work for ROH, but I have really been into the last few volumes. I think the product has taken a big step forward and the big matches on volumes 27-30 have been tremendous, and the undercard talent has really gotten much better as well. I see the effort Dave puts into making these shows great for the live crowds and the work he puts in making the DVD's special along with Puente, Danger and Portia.. He should be proud of what he's accomplished over these 4+ years ..

I really enjoyed your commentary with Dave on the women's matches for the ROH DVDs. I own pretty much all of them. It was refreshing for 2 male commentators to talk about the female wrestlers as athletes and show them the same respect for what they're doing in the ring as male wrestlers.

So if Chikara's DVD features a shot of neckties thrown in the ring, you would never suspect the company set it up before hand? With news the WWE filtered signs at the door for Summerslam its now on anyone's mind as to whether or not signs at any given event are planted. They give out those Rey Mysterio hoods, Sting masks, and various pieces of the crowd's love for the show throughout the time everyone here has been viewing wrestling. So, yes if the company gave the signs to the fans to hold up, they would indeed be responsible for their own artwork once it's released. The same concept applies to Chikara planting gimmicks in the crowd. If they later use the crowd's interaction with neckties as a DVD art, cover, or some marketing tool to show how original you should be when you go... then ya been swerved. Any chance that the old mailers or some special photo/collectible inserts would be part of these releases? Or even a limited and/or random part of the first ones sold? The company didn't set up the neck tie throwing, the FANS did. Actually, one fan did. Chikara didn't "plant" the gimmick just as shimmer didn't "plant" the gimmick of cute drawings ...the fans created it. That's what's great about wrestling fans show support in very active ways and since there's not a big divide on the indys it can be included in this way. That's special. Why hate on it? As far as the rest of what you said about swerves. ...what are you on and how do I get some? Also, is trolling people who don't flame you rewarding?

He's not that great. In fact I've heard some very disparaging rumours about him...

I personally love the artwork for the recent SHIMMER volumes...
Sure, different people have different tastes... But... To disparage a promotion because of DVD art?
That's a bit much...
Plus, I swear there's a saying about judging a book by it's cover that would definitely apply here...
