With KAORU coming to the States, that'd be a nice pick. She was a pretty good lucha worker in her prime. With age and injuries she's slowed down a bit, but I think she'd add a lot to SHIMMER!

Regarding Talia and April...I really don't think they're right for SHIMMER. Not only because I think in the ring they're a slight cut below all the other current members of the roster, but I doubt SHIMMER wants to feature anyone heavily associated with NWWL, if only to retain their image as a forum for legitimate female wrestling with an emphasis on athletic competition. EXACTLY! I'm always a little bothered when I hear people asking for April Hunter and Talia over and over again.I have nothing against them but it's not an exact fit. I think that if Hunter was straight up serious with no cheesecake involved she'd be an unstoppable fear-inspiring big red wrecking machine but as it is, she's not the "shimmer type". Of course, I never said this before because I didn't want to be rude. I know shimmer has a lot of fans who are into the whole "cheesecake" perv out factor of womens' wrestling. . .
As far as the question at hand goes, I think that one of the most important things for the roster is to not be redundant. The rotation kind of reminds me of the WWE brand split (I'm stupid). The roster could be split kind of like that, with half on one DVD, the other half on the other at the same taping. With appearances by the "other side" during the dvds. (With no "roster wars" going on, just a split.)
I think the keepers for the roster should be the foundation. Lacey, Danger, Martinez, Del Ray, Haze, Ms.Chif but at the same time seeing too much of them at both Volumes could be a turn off to some. The foundation could be split and have half on one volume and half on the other to mix it up a bit and also to make room for those who haven't had enough exposure/development to the crowd like Portia, Lee, Deeb and Josie. I consider them new faces because we haven't seen enough of them to actually make a judgement call.
Allison Danger is an important part of shimmer and like someone else said she is a locker room leader and a commentator. To me, she is the embodiment of Shimmer. She doesn't have to wrestle on every show she could play a different role.
Diversity in style and personalities clash is an important part of the roster as well, it's what attracts people to Shimmer. Amazing Kong, Ann Brookstone and Ms.Chif both bring a monster quality to the roster and are something different. Josie also works a strong style and could be an "enforcer type" (bias get out of my head!).
The roster is already solid as a rock and adding new faces is good but at the same time I feel like it's moving too fast and we're haven't ironed out what we have with the latest additions to the roster.

And how many girls has SHIMMER used that are associated with WEW? Which mind you is a Women's "Tits and Ass" promotion? What fed they're associated with is meaningless. Work is work. Esp considering with women's wrestling there isn't a vast pool to pick from. EXACTLY! I'm always a little bothered when I hear people asking for April Hunter and Talia over and over again.I have nothing against them but it's not an exact fit. I've seen several matches with April that were serious. Sure there's an effort of comedy around her whole "look at my body, you'll never have it" attitude as a heel she puts out, but if you think all she puts out is "cheesecake" perv, you apparently haven't seen enough of April. Lest we forget she was also a RoH and an AtoZ wrestler and an accomplished gajin wrestler in Japan. April can have serious matches if it's required. Tracy Brooks, Ariel, Roxx and others can tell you I'm sure. The only reason I asked for Talia was because I haven't really seen her. I do know she wrestles, and even if she worked a SHIMMER dvd taping, it would at least give me a chance to get familiar with her and her work. And considering you feel she had no place along with April in SHIMMER, the fact that we have a topic debating on who "fits" in SHIMMER, shows there are others some people don't think do that are on the roster currently. Personally, you don't think she fits, I do. If it were my choice, I would take April Hunter over Lexie Fyfe any day. Not only do I think she could take Fyfe's place in the same role, but I also find April entertaining, which Fyfe, I don't. And since I'm on the topic I Fyfe, I think there are others who could fill her shoes better. Like Amazing Kong who is more convincing in her role.

And how many girls has SHIMMER used that are associated with WEW? Well just to answer that question Mercedes, Lacey, Rain, and Amber have worked for WEW. And I do believe that Lexie Fyfe worked for them when they first started. Also among the SHIMMER alumni who have worked for said promotion are Shantelle Taylor and Krissy Vaine.

With Allison Danger's recent visit to Japan, along with Amazing Kong and Panther Claw as the Real Evil Makers stable, perhaps they could add maybe 2 or 3 of the rival Joshi stable, the Dream Catchers. Nanae Takahashi definitely and then either Hikaru or Saki Maemura (or both). Natsuki*Head's only been added to the stable recently, so I'd leave her out (despite being one of the best 'young generation' wrestlers in Joshi at the moment).

Sorry, but I'd rather have April Hunter over Panther Claw a.k.a Trenesha Biggars anyday. The only main Lucha diva I see in SHIMMER first is Princess Sugey, there are a only a few divas in SHIMMER who have worked with her. I know Krissy Vaine has, I think Sara Del Rey and Nikki Roxx too. So they'll be good opponents for her.

I'd love to see Nikki T. from the West Coast participate in a SHIMMER show. When she was teaming with Valentina as the New York Knockouts, she was the heavy worker and could work a terrific match with virtually anyone on the current roster.
What about a pairing of Daizee Haze with Simply Luscious/Ronnie Stevens? Both these young women give the lie to size as their relative petiteness means nothing once they are in the ring. Man, this would be an awesome, fast-paced and very tough match between a couple of girls who combine great quickness with awesome skills.
Lufisto. As an earlier poster noted, here is the perfect opponent for Ms. Chif. Like Cheerleader Melissa, she can go toe-to-toe with the black-and-green clad hellion. All those hardcore matches make her a natural to brawl with the best.
More tag team bouts. I know it is tough to create chemistry on the fly, but there is nothing like a well-wrestled tag team bout between faces and heels. The opportunities for double-teaming and playing to the crowd increase geometrically.

I want to strongly recommend using Sybil Starr for Shimmer productions. Sybil is a beautiful and talented wrestler, who would be a great addition to the Shimmer roster of women. She is a total professional, who can play the jobber or the victor in any match and sell her role incredibly well. Plus, she is a total professional regarding reliability and in the manner she conducts herself. Lastly, anyone who works with Sybil sings her praises, as she is just a joy to be around.
Thanks,
Barry

I would recommend Sweet Saraya, simply the best female wrestler in the uk for the last decade. has it all, technical, strong style, can fly if needed, fantastic mic skills, would go a storm in shimmer.

I'll add another vote for Sweet Saraya - I've seen her in lots of matches over he years and she always wrestles a great match ith passion and charisma. We recently got a Shimmer-esque match here in Engand as she fought Rebecca Knox in what was the best match on an AWA:UK card. The post match mic exchange teased a rematch which would be a treat for anyone to witness.

How `bout Hellena Heavenly? She's great as both face and heel and works a tremendous match. She's a terrific looking redhead to boot. And maybe, if we ask nice, she'll bring along Jenelle Sinclair, A.J. Sparxx and Nevaeh.

I think Malia Hosaka put Hellena Heavenly over in an interview last year. Haven't seen her work, but I'm sure she'll tear it up in the ring!

Just out of curiosity...Sumie Sakai has always seemed like a fairly glaring omission from the SHIMMER roster, and it seems like based various interviews I've read and myspace stuff that she's pretty tight with Allison. Is there a specific reason why she hasn't been on shows?

I think that an up and coming "face" wrestler, Sybil Starr, would make a great addition to your stable of wrestlers.
She is personable, professional, talented, and a great role model for female athletes.
