Looks like I might be wrong about WWE taking more Shimmer girls like Rebecca Knox. There is some talk that SmackDown! might not be on UPN in the future because of poor viewing(except by Mexicans). Also Velocity is now gone.I suspect they will keep the Playboy models and other pro bikini models like Barbie Blank(Kelly Kelly) to showcase RAW & ECW what their viewers want and start firing girl wrestlers from their OVW & DSW even with a contract. Also it would not surprise me if Victoria is gone from RAW.I just have one new pick for Shimmer and thats Mariko Yoshida because she wins matches(Queen of ARSION title matches in Japan) & tournments(like APW Chick Fights for example) and might be currently the best technical wrestler in the free world. My favorite Shimmer girl is Melissa Anderson(win or lose she is hot).Looking forward to 4 & Falls Count Anywhere Match with her & MsChif. As far as giving up some girls on Shimmer for the next show-I think it should be on a win & lose record(just like in any other sport like say pro football for example even though everybody has their own favorites). If that is still to hard to do,you can go outside of Shimmer to other companies like APW Chick Fight for example and check out their win & lose record.Who would I not like to see on Shimmer-April Hunter because she brings along to much baggage and is to InterGender dependent. That is her current boyfriend will come to her aid alot in matches that have her vs another girl and he is somewhere in the building like with the 3/11/2006 show for ABCProWrestling and this has happened alot with her past boyfriend also. And I don`t look at her as being muscle bound like say someone like Linda Miles(Shaniqua)who had the muscles & the shoulders from actually working out once she got to SmackDown!and was on her own with the men(even though she got the breast implants-standard now in the WWE).Yes April Hunter is a good wrestler, can win matches & tournments, and is still goodlooking but I cannot even see her getting into the WWE because she would take to much money away from current girls like Candice,Trish,Mickie, etc.and even girls like Barbie Blank(ECW) with no wrestling background(who I think will win that Bikini Bull Riding Contest-so much for wrestling from the WWE-from Dallas on SNME).Why, because they think she is hot looking-but I don`t.Hopefully this show and that contest will boost their rankings with NBC because in past shows viewers were way down(see ProWrestling.com & article "Internal Pressure on WWE Regarding SNME"for 07.11).

Personally, I think David is more qualified than anybody else to find whom is a good fit for Shimmer. I agree with pretty much all of the previous post. WWE Smackdown is just a horrible show to watch these days. Bobby Lashley is the exception to the rule. He is certainly going to be a major force for years to come. Smackdown has two serious flaws. First of all, the roster is in shambles and second is must be shown LIVE!!!!!! Why do you think RAW is more successful? Because, they have some wrestlers, and because it is on LIVE on Monday nights. On the other hand, Trish may be gone soon and we can look forward to another DIVA search. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmph, well I guess no-one would like to see Mickie Knuckles in SHIMMER as much as I would? I'll throw out another name. Mickie Knuckles. She definitely works a different style, sometimes mixing it up with the boys in IWA-MS, but I'd be interested in seeing her in SHIMMER for a taping or two. I would!

Regarding Talia and April...I really don't think they're right for SHIMMER. Not only because I think in the ring they're a slight cut below all the other current members of the roster, but I doubt SHIMMER wants to feature anyone heavily associated with NWWL, if only to retain their image as a forum for legitimate female wrestling with an emphasis on athletic competition.

There is some talk that SmackDown! might not be on UPN in the future because of poor viewing(except by Mexicans). Also Velocity is now gone. Velocity was cancelled because ECW is being taped before/after Smackdown, so there's no sense in them running 3 shows in one night. 4hrs of wrestling would tire fans out. And the cost of running Velocity, ECW and SD as far as setup and everything goes wouldn't be worth it. MOST people online as it concerns Velocity and Heat, could give a **** about it, and so they don't watch it. As for SD, last I heard, it was going to be a part of the new UPN/WB channel lineup.

Actually in a recent interview, with wrestling informer weekly, Dave said that he has been in contact with April Hunter; but from what I got out of it it sounds like she won't be coming to shimmer anytime soon.
I personally would like to see April Hunter vs Cheerleader Melissa. It could be another east coast vs west coast battle like Sara/Mercedes. Or April could be to SHIMMER like what Chris Hero is to ROH.

Another new name to consider would be ODB. She's working directly for OVW at the moment, but isn't contracted to them, so that wouldn't stop her from doing the SHIMMER shows for the time being. She is a very good worker and would add a lot to SHIMMER I think.
Other Japanese workers (if possible of course), Yoshiko Tamura (has some history with MsChif after the recent Chick Fight), Megumi Yabushita and a big name, though unlikely would be Aja Kong. She teams with Amazing Kong in Japan so wishfully a tag match or singles with her would own.
Some LLF girls like Tsunami and Chacala could do well too.

What about Lisa Moretti aka Ivory? She's a great talent who put on a tremendous match against Melissa prior to her release from WWE. She'd be worth every penny as she could put on classics with MsChif, Melissa, Danger, Knox, Haze, Martinez and Del Ray if given the opportunity. I don't know why everyone would rather see Ringer not get used. I'd rather see Lacey and Lexie be put on the backburner if it meant Lisa could be used for several dvds..

Lacey on the backburner! That is a total pile of CRAP!!!! The thought of Lacey not competing on Shimmer is ridiculous. I do agree with trying to get Lisa Moretti. I saw her match against Melissa and she also won the Supergirls title from Rebecca Knox. But getting back to my comment. Lacey is one of the top INDY wrestlers on the circuit today. PERIOD!!!! She must have told you to shut up once and you couldn't handle it.

Here are 3 matches I would like to see booked for Volume 7 & 8. Volume 7: Rebecca Knox vs. MsChif; 1 fall-30 minutes, submission or KO. Lovely Lacey & Radiant Rain vs. Alere Little Feather & Ariel; 2 out of 3 falls-45 minutes. Melissa Anderson vs. Nikki Roxx; 1 fall-30minutes. Volume 8: Lovely Lacey vs. Ariel; 1 fall-30 minutes, submission or KO. Rebecca Knox & Melissa Anderson vs. Mischif & Nikki Roxx; unlimited falls-30 minutes. Lexie Fyfe & Malia Hosaka vs. Allison Danger & Cindy Rogers; 2 out of 3 falls, 45 minutes.
I have the utmost respect and admiration for all the beautiful, courageous athletes who compete in the Shimmer ring. Also, I really appreciate the time and herculean effort put forth by Dave Prazak to make this exciting womens wrestling promotion a reality.

First, let me say that every woman who has thus far competed in the Shimmer ring has in my opinion both earned and secured her right to do so and to be invited back for future matches/tapings. With that said, in addition to Alere Little Feather, who I mentioned in an earlier post, here are 10 "new faces" that I'd like to see featured in future Shimmer events.
1. Nattie Neidhart (now almost completely recovered from a knee injury). 2. Maria Montana (recently returned to the ring after a lengthy absence; could form an interesting tag team with Lorelei Lee and be billed as the "Country Girls"). 3. Jessica "ODB" Dalton (a dedicated pro who has "paid her dues"). 4. Venus (also recovering from an injury, dedicated to the sport/business). 5. Brandi "Babydoll" Collins (10 year ring veteran who is most deserving of a spot on the Shimmer roster). 6. Traci Brooks (is not allowed to display her wrestling ability in TNA, would add a lot of excitement to the Shimmer promotion). 7. Hailey Hatred (shows a lot of potential as the wrestler the fans "love to hate"; I've always thought a change in ring persona to Hailey von Hoffman and teaming up with veteran Diane von Hoffman as her manager/mentor would really "put her over the top"). 8. Little Jeannie Bruso (another ring veteran who has "paid her dues"; interesting tag team combination - Little Jeannie & Babydoll Collins). 9. Desiree Peterson (a 20+ year veteran of the mat who still looks great and can move around the ring with speed and agility). 10. Mickey Knuckles (I agree with all those who have asked that she be added to the Shimmer roster; has had a number of thrilling bouts with the likes of Daizee Haze, Lovely Lacey, MsChif, Radiant Rain to just name a few).
I could probably name another 20 or more female wrestlers currently active who would do well in the type of classic style of pro wrestling presented by Shimmer. There's a lot of talent out there among the women pro's, just a question of finding the promotions to present it in a positive and respectful way to the wrestling public.
