Mia had a match with MsChif in ROH. That match happend right after SinClair bought ROH if I remember. It was just on a house show though. They really need to use Veda Scott at some point too as a wrestler. Ehhh this forum loves Veda but I don't see her as being ROH ready. She's still very green and meh for me.

I am pleased to see the match with Sara Del Rey and Mia Yim on August 3; SDR is also in a mixed tag on Aug. 11 with "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards & "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Ray vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett & "The First Lady of ROH" Maria Kanellis. I look at these matches more as a farewell tour for ROH Sara than any hint that ROH will begin valuing women's wrestling. I think Mia would say that Sara one of her biggest mentors in wrestling. Sara was an early supporter of Mia from the time of their first match in EWE (Virgina) in Dec. 9. 2009 (see photo below). Mia's history with Sara is rich and varied. They have had 5-6 singles matches with each other since that match in 2009 (4 months after Mia began wrestling). They have wrestled in EWE (Virginia) JAPW, RCW, MCW, and now ROH. If Sara is leaving indy wrestling for WWE then this is an appropriate final dance between mentor and mentee -- perhaps a passing of the baton. Attachments:

Can you really claim there was ever a women's division in ROH? It wouldn't be a valid claim in my opinion.

MsChif will be competing at ROH's TV tapings in Belle Vernon, PA (near Pittsburgh) on November 3rd in a Women of Honor match against an unannounced opponent.

Another Women of Honor match exactly 3 months after the first one of this year. Will ROH bring more attention to the women, or will they go on booking random one-off bouts months apart? I'd like to believe and hope for the first, though the latter seems more likely in the real world. But having any women's matches at all is better than none, so I shouldn't complain. I hope I see Allysin and MsChif bring it on TV, and isn't an opening dark match.

I'm happy that Allysin Kay is getting a shot but I can't be the only one wondering why Veda Scott isn't competing in any of these one-off women's matches for ROH. They've brought in Marti Belle & now Allysin Kay for matches but seem to have Veda there just to do backstage interviews.

I think in ROH fans' minds, Veda is just the backstage interview girl, and it would be a bit of a stretch if she suddenly wrestles, although ROH even put on their site that she did a tour of Japan. You'd need a heel (maybe Kay) to provoke her into starting to wrestle on TV in a believable way.

She is still really green and her offense looks extremely weak/ineffective. Maybe they don't think she is ready for the main show like veterans such as Mia, MsChif or Kay are.

For those interested, the latest ROH Compliation DVD Set, " Japan's Finest" concludes with the two Joshi 4 Hope matches from Honor Takes Center Stage in Atlanta a couple years ago.

I'm pretty sure they had Maria wrestle so Veda's talent level obviously has nothing to do with it.

Maria was only in one mixed tag match in ROH. And she wrestled Sara Del Rey, who can not only have a great match with a broomstick, but also recently got signed to teach broomsticks to wrestle each other.
Unless it's part of an angle, Veda should wrestle dark matches like other ROH students. Promoting her faster than boys on her skill level may hurt on the long run.
(MsChif and Allysin Kay should of course get the same TV time as the male wrestlers.)

MsChif beat Kay, I believe it's on the first of the Pittsburgh shows that will be aired.
