I agree with the Melissa statement though - anyone who has not seen the merciless, emotionless, psychotic killing-machine we are treated to over here in the UK should REALLY check it out. True enough. But even in the presence of that uber-heel-ness, and even when I saw Melissa at CF's 7+9 taking on (and out) any of me fellow Brit's... I was still popping like that big bit of space dust that you always seems to get in the packet that hurts the roof of your mouth.

I agree, Melissa as awesome-heel-machine would rule. Maybe we'll get to see it?

Her accent faltered a few times, but it was still awesome to see her on TV for more than a brief second or two.

Who knew Melissa had such a beautiful asian accent, certainly not me.

To be fair, most Lebanese in her (hell, our) age bracket in California are 2nd generation or later...the best they could do is maybe teach her to impersonate their grandparents. Besides, it's a wrestling show, not an Oscar-worthy film. We're talking about a promotion where a "wall street tycoon" comes out wearing a sparkly bathrobe with greasy hair. They have a guy named SHARKBOY for crying out loud...and he lives under the sea, like Spongebob.

Which one? The Shimmer one?

Ah yes, that one. While we're on the subject, what would you say was Melissa's best SHIMMER singles match? Well, okay, best singles match that doesn't involve Ms. Chif.

They never really turned her into a proper face. She just hangs out with faces (Daffney, Ms. Chif) now. I agree with ManamiToyotaFan (wow, this is the second time!) completely though. SHIMMER really needs more upper card heels. The actual *number* of heels is about even, but most of them are mid- and under-card. And we need more outside brawling. Like the real deal. People having to duck out of their seats to avoid flying chairs. I'm talking about LCO levels of pandamonium. Maybe she's going to Orndorff Mschif and Daffney. And Yay to LCO levels of pandemonium, I love that stuff. Someone needs to be made to wear chairs as a necklace. ...Ozaki used to do that to people. People like KAORU.

I wish I could teach her to pivot when she kicks. Especially since she's started kicking more and more. It'd help her out so much. I mean, she's still my favorite wrestler(Just slightly more than the toyota...but only slightly) but I see her kick, and I wanna show her how to make it stiffer. Wrestling's a work and all the fans already think she beats the crap out of people anyway, so I wouldn't see a reason for her to be stiffer.

Well out of what I've seen so far(I haven't seen anything past the tournament.) I'd go with Haze vs Melissa. It's a great match, and has the infamous wheelbarrow into the guardrail spot. I like her matches with Mschif, but I think her 45 minute draw against Wesna tops them, even in brutality. Though the falls count anywhere match was fun to watch. So I've been told, the local council were a gnat's testicle away from stopping Melissa v Wesna because of the brawling and ban wrestling from the building. Having been there live to have seen it, it's an awesome spectacle. I've yet to watch it since, even though I have ChickFight IX sitting next to me TV.

LOL @ Melissa stopping for a coke in the middle of the match. All this time I thought the picture in Jason's sig was from *after* the match. Thanks for the photos, MTF.
As much as I love technical wrestling (Bret Hart was my favorite as a kid, before I even knew the difference in wrestling styles), I find that a lot of the most memorable matches for me are brawls. I still remember Jun Akiyama absolutely murdering Misawa outside the ring with a drop toehold into the rails (love that spot) and Explodering him off the apron. I never cared for Cindy Rogers much until I saw her street fight against Allison Danger.
Here's hoping we see some nice brawls in Shimmer in 2008.

I say we get Balls Mahoney to show her how to swing a chair harder?! Or get New Jack to teach her the art of working a machete? Actually scrap all that why not go the whole way and just give her a machine gun?! ;-)

Aw, c'mon. I'm sure he just wants to be sure that Melissa's kicks are as shudder-inducing as her chops and punches. I was re-watching her FCA match with Ms. Chif a few nights ago with a friend...there's a shot where she chops Ms Chif right in front of a fan (he was directly behind Ms Chif, on the other side of the crowd barrier), and the guy actually winces and holds his chest. I LOL'd.
She's so much more fun as a heel.
