How expensive can this trip get? I'm really considering coming from NYC. But at the same time I don't want to spend too much. Driving seems out of the option.

"Since several fans have been known to travel to the Chicago area from other parts of the country to attend our live tapings, we are giving everyone ample notice to mark your calendars and plan ahead. "
Its appreciated, I will be coming up 500 miles, 500 miles back, 10 hours, 4 states, driving up on my own wheels. (Not the Cutlass though, I figure that would be $550 in gas!!!!)
I'll be there DP

Not as expensive as mine - I'm considering flying out from the UK just for the show. However, I'm already trying to think up some reason I can use to explain this as a business trip but I'm struggling at the moment; nearest place we travel to in the US is McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and that's not exactly next door lol! Oh, and diving definately seems out of the option for me too. ;D

What was the problem with Rodeway? I had no problems with them whatsoever in October. Sure, the rooms weren't much, but it's not like I was planning on living there.

You get the choice between the leaky room or the room where you can't turn off the heat and have no phone outlets or remote for the TV. One of my boys went and slept in the rental car it was so hot.

I believe the name of the hotel is ChicagolandMotel. Here's the number 708-447-7910 It was not too bad.I seem to remember them telling me not to turn the air condition on full blast.lol Yeah, that's the Chicagoland Motel all right. I've stayed there three times (7 & 8, Tourney weekend and 15 & 16), and can't really complain about it. Plus it's right down the street from Michael Anthony's, as I realized last time, not to mention just a couple of minutes from the Eagles Club.

The Rodeway Inn doesn't look like much from the outside, but both times we've stayed there, it's been great and the customer service has been top notch. For the price, you can't beat it.
