Shimmer should have at least 3 titles to regonize, the world title, tag team and the US title or if they get tv or internet time, a tv or internet title. what other titles do u think they should recognize?

3 titles would be too many right now; they have a starting roster of 8. Start with the gold standard championship once they know who they can get and how often. Later they could try a tag, but there will have to be a few more wrestlers available for them to try.

There are 10 wrestlers on the roster now.

Only a World title right now, but when the ranks grow, maybe a Tag. I cant really see the need for a secondary singles title.

A world title of course. But in terms of tag belts, once the roster grows a bit, instead of the usual tag titles, i'd love to see trios tag titles like in Toryumon/Dragon Gate.

A world title is the only thing they should have now and for quite some time. Maybe they could have a tag title eventually but I don't know. Most indy promotions can't keep a good tag division going so I don't know how a women's promotion with an even smaller selection of talent would be able to do it.

For now, just a World title. As SHIMMER grows, maybe add a Tag Team title down the road. I don't think a secondary singles title would be necessary, at least for a while.

At this time I don't think that a title is really necessary, but once the shows become more frequent a title should be instated into the organisation.
As for what title it should be I thought maybe something like the Japanese fed Arison did; the top title holder was called "the queen of Arison", but calling the shimmer champ the "queen of shimmer" sounds like something out of a disco movie. Shimmer world champion would be much better since most of the women competing have wrestled outside of the united states. Ariel, Nikki, and Sara are regulars in Mexico and Sara is also a regular in Japan. The shimmer champ could possibly be able to defend her title in Mexico, Canada, England, or Japan.

I agree there should just be one title until the roster's larger. But should it really be called "World"? US Champion sounds better to me.

Well, a part of the roster has had experience outside of the US, "World" sounds better to me.

The idea of having a few shows first in order to build the foundations of the promotion sounds like a solid idea but I don't think introducing a Title right from the first show (or at least announcing plans surrounding a Title) would be such a bad idea either. FIP had the tourney to crown a Champ on their first show, right? I don't think it'd hurt at all, especially with the ladies involved.
"World" sounds good, too. Of course, in time, that'll have to be backed up with a few overseas defences or something to that extent.

mmmm.....good point about not introducing a title right off. lets give them time to build up some feuds and whatnot first. i do like the idea of having a turney to crown the first champ though, doesnt make sense just to name 2 ladies the number 1 challengers for no reason.

Overseas or across the border defenses would be easy. Ariel and Nikki both tour Mexico, Ariel and Allison have been to Japan. Of course, you have other negotiations to go through with sanctioning and stuff. International defences wouldn't be needed for a while.

Honestly, Shimmer should wait, at least, 3 months before even mentioning any titles because who can say if they'll even be around that long. I'm hoping they do, but you know how unpredictable indy wrestling can be.

I think having a tournament for a World Title would be the best way to start it off. After all, everyone's goal is to be the best, so you would need a title to denote that. It is also the best way to set up rivalries. If down the line, the roster expands enough, then a tag title would be the next ideal step. A secondary title could also be developed at that time.
