This is something I have always wondered about shimmer. It seems like there are more pictures taken during a shimmer match than any other company in the world lol Honestly at times its kind of weird.... anybody else notice Anbody bothered by the constant snaps? lol

I caught myself doing that over time, and decided to take less pictures, because heck, everyone else is taking them. It's just that SHIMMER is such a great place to be at that you'd wanna document it... and it doesn't hurt that the talent are pretty camera-friendly.

I take photos and just about every wrestling show I attend because I enjoy sharing them online. It's not that uncommon.

Because we can't take videos. Seriously though, there aren't any more Shimmer pics than from other feds. It just seems that way. (Speaking of wrestling photos, I love this site: prowrestlingisart.com/ )

I've thought about putting the camera away, as the best moments are captured by the official photogs, with much better quality. But many people look forward to them, so I keep at it. And I think I'm the only guy to occasionally use a traditional and cell phone camera at the same time.

i just want to be able to have the memories right at my fingertips. But yeah, 1300 photos is pretty steep. I'll definitely lay back on pics in October

I often like some of your stuff better in certain ways than what the photographers inside the guardrails are able to get. All of the photography from the various different viewpoints have their own unique qualities. For instance, this is one of my favorite shots from any of our shows.

From the perspective of someone watching on DVD, I never used to notice all the flashes going off during a match. But recently, I was watching maybe volume 23 or 24 and I suddenly became very aware of it, so much so that I was convinced it must have been happening a lot more than on earlier volumes. Looking back, that wasn't the case at at all. It was just a case that I'd consciously noticed something that I had previously not really registered. The problem was, once I had noticed it, it was actually difficult to 'un-notice' it. Kinda like that whole don't-think-about-a-polar-bear thing.

I wish I could get my flash under wraps. I've had several awesome pictures ruined by flash. I might have to try sitting somewhere else in October

I love photography and wrestling, doing both at the same time is part of the fun of shows for me. Plus like others have said, it helps preserve memories. I like to share them b/c it gives others the chance to see something they might not otherwise and when put together can be part of telling the story.
