it's only what I heard. But, a certain Mr. Creed also told me the probable reason she was in a crappy mood on Sunday. Apparently, she had gotten a call that her flight was delayed or cancelled, and she wasn't gonna be leaving Chicago until Thursday. Guess that changed. But, quite frankly, if it's true, I could see that putting her a crappy mood, it'd put me in one, definitely.

I think people misread what I wrote on Twitter - Portia left the same time all the other wrestlers left, after it was clear that the showing of the Tag Title match from Volume 47 wasn't going to work. We all left shortly afterwards. She went on the tour of Ronnie Lottz' gimmicks with everyone.

Evergrey was at the bar with Portia, so if anyone would know if she left abruptly it would be him.

Portia's set things straight...
@pperezninja: When did the job title "Professional Wrestler" become a synonym for "Professional Nice Person"? Oh, that's right: Never.

Think she'd like me if I told her I got to meet Caroll Spinney (Big Bird)?
Nah, she'd probably hate me more.

I probably shouldn't say anything, but if anyone that seriously has a problem with Portia's "social demeanor" heard what I did last night from another wrestler (not Portia) you'd all be ashamed of yourselves.

I probably shouldn't say anything, but anyone that seriously has a problem with Portia's "social demeanor" heard what I did last night from another wrestler (not Portia) you'd all be ashamed of yourselves. Wrestling fans feel...shame? No way. I mean, for what? I mean, it's obviously not enough that Portia has literally broken her back for our entertainment, or wrestled 6 times in 8 days with injured ribs. She also has to validate each and every fan on a personal level to their satisfaction in every encounter. And there's nothing demanding or entitled about it. Melissa too. She's only injured her arm and come to an afterparty in a sling and still chatted with fans. But my unnamed dipshit nobody friend who trained with a dude she trained with said she was a bitch (and, not for nothing, she's obviously phoning it in since she didn't have the same sort of matches with Rhia O'Reilly that she had with Wesna and Ayako Hamada, and let's ignore that 25 minute classic with Hailey just a few months ago). Shame for the fans? No, shame on these unappreciative, lazy wrestlers.

I'm blown away by people thinking this because of the experience I had meeting Portia. I attended a non-Shimmer show a few years ago that Portia was on, and I was probably the only person there who even knew who she was. I was wearing a Shimmer t-shirt, in hope she would see it and after the show she actually came out from the back and seeked me out to come talk to me and ask if I enjoyed her match and all that. Even signed an 8x10 for me and took a picture with me, and as far as I know she never did that for anyone else that night

Portia is a fascinating person IMO. I actually like how she's not completely out of character at after parties or whatnot. It kind of adds to her legacy. I do think she's a good person at heart though. I gave her an Owen 3:16 shirt at Michael Anthony's on Saturday and she was very thankful. While I enjoy booing her at shows, she has my full respect.
While she will never be a Leva Bates at after parties, there's no rule that says she has to be either.

The one show I've actually seen Portia wrestle at (Joshimania Night 3), she was chatting it up with a fan so I don't think she's being rude, she's probably just not a social butterfly.

I was disappointed by the one time I didn't get to meet Portia when she appeared at a F1RST/Wrestlicious co-promoted show at First Ave. and Portia was one of the few people that saved the Wrestlicious portion of the evening from being completely wretched. But during a match where she was on the outside doing scouting, I kept making SHIMMER jokes to her from the front row ("Don't worry about what she's up to; it's all part of the plan.") and she got a few giggles and smiles out of them. But when intermission rolled around, she was nowhere to be found, which kinda sucked because I would have loved to have maybe gotten to chat with her a little.
But the only time I've interacted with her was at my first afterparty on the 33-36 tapings and she was very kind and friendly and was happy to sign my roster album. She even jokingly threatened to doodle over Serena's picture since they'd just started their feud. So I have no complaints about Portia or her perceived "attitude."

I say this a lot and I think it's fitting right now. Some fans need to remember that these girls are human just like us fans. And just like us fans, they aren't going to be all "sunshine and rainbows" 24/7. Last saturday I got zero sleep and when I went grocery shopping, I was a bit cranky and pretty much bit this girl's head off because she was just doing her job (and I know her). These women are usually running on little to no sleep AND getting the crap kicked out of them 4 times by the time the weekend is over with. Some people are big social butterflies and some just aren't. You're just going to have to accept that it's who they are, even though it may be a bit disappointing if you're huge fan of that person.
Also, it would help if fans didn't bombard the wrestlers as soon as they walk into the after party venue.
