The one key thing missing from the article: the date and location of the next show. Hopefully enough readers will do a web search to find out for themselves.

The one key thing missing from the article: the date and location of the next show. Hopefully enough readers will do a web search to find out for themselves. Tell me about it! Unfortunately they're not allowed to "promote" anything in that nature otherwise it goes from feature article to advertising feature which would cause problems with advertising standards unless an agreement was made and the article itself would then have to be clearly labelled as an advertisement. By doing that it's then it's not supposed to have anything to do with journalists but solely with the advertising department so if it's written by a journalist it causes further problems such as which department pays the journalist etc etc. Ultimately it would lead to the article being dropped. We're actually quite lucky we even got the EVE name in there in the first place as even though we were contacted directly about the feature it was something the journalist had to fight for as usually national papers / magazines etc aren't even allowed to do that - again - unless it falls into the advertisement department. It's all overly complicated on what constitutes advertisement and what doesn't. Like you say though, hopefully those who are truly interested will make the effort to search EVE. Judging by the emails thus far that does appear to be the case. Thankfully!

But glad EVE got the name in there, it's a good article with great pictures. Looks very classy!

It's tantamount to product placement, and while it's annoying for a company like Eve with profit-driven newspapers it could lead to terrible news standards and opportunism for big brands. I'm pretty sure the law isn't as restrictive for community newspapers, otherwise I broke a lotta laws

Weird. Glad that isn't the case here! Elliott Harris and Jessi Virtusio let Chicagoans know via their columns when we had upcoming events coming to town.

Apparently Shanna suffered a dislocated shoulder and hyper extended elbow courtesy of Jenny Sjodin in a three way match that also involved April Davids last night.
I would imagine this may prohibit her from competing at the upcoming EVE show, which would be a huge shame.

Don't know how long she'll be out for because the wait at the hospital meant she missed her flight back home and it's really her doctors she needs to see in terms of long term plans because she literally just got diagnosis and strapped up here but on the basis of what they said we're probably talking her being out for 4-6 weeks.
