Looks like I missed Ms. Power's entire career and her guest appearance. Shame! But it's cool that she shows up anyway, especially in all that madness. Have there been any special guests besides her and Molly Holly (back 5/21/06 before I discovered Shimmer)? idk about 'special guests' but Lita was at the Vol 7 & 8 taping. Maria Kanellis and CM Punk at vol 5 & 6. A lot of male wrestlers have always been spotted on camera; Nigel McGuinness, Trik Davis etc lots of ROH guys. In an interview, Allysin Kay said she went to vol 23-26, not as a wrestler but as a fan which I thought was pretty cool. That is cool. So you never know who is going to show up! |

I'm sure their chants were about the wrestlers who were there, and about the matches going on. I bet he wasn't shouting "Buggy" like a frickin parrott all night. Or chanting "a half" between a refs 10 count in fricking championship matches. So which is it? "Oh you guys are alright you bring energy to the shows" THEN you come on here to freaking cry about it like some spoiled child who didn't get a pony for X-mas? Furthermore nobody was chanting "and a half" during title matches.. I suppose it's ok for people to say TWO counting along with the ref but God Forbid somebody says And A Half.. The shows are meant to have a good time not to have some half-cocked moron nitpicking about trivial things. Parrots? Really? Have you know we were chanting for people that were there as well.. but no don't bother mentioning that.. Just focus on the bad.. after you CLAIM you want to "stay in the positive" It's the same as last year with you crying about the cheesecake/Berwyn chants or God forbid people chant for heels or people who weren't there (IE Buggy) & we were making it be known. So SORRY to offend the great and powerful entity that is you.. (not really) We talked to Dave Prazak at the after party & we all had a laugh about it.. I think YOU should do the same.. My god.. lighten up. Go get the stick removed from your anus or whatever you need to do to STOP coming here trashing things that people say or do that YOU don't approve of you hypocrite. Seriously you act all cool with people to their faces then you come here and cry like a 6yr old girl about things.. And yes before you even think about it I will say it to your face. |

Anyway, back to the discussion at hand -
When are we going to see Mia Yim and Davina Rose pick up some solid wins in SHIMMER competition? Cool that they won a match as a tag team this past taping (I'm correct on that, yeah?) but with them being 0-8/0-6 respectively (or something similar) I'm worried that they might go the path of Lorelei Lee.
I've become a fan of both ladies (Mia through her outstanding performances in SHIMMER competition/Davina elsewhere) and I'm really hoping that they become permanent fixtures of the SHIMMER roster. Unlike Lorelei Lee who didn't really seem to fit in with the SHIMMER style or improve each time she went out for a match, both Mia and Davina have shown improvement with each outing they've had.
Let's hope that in future tapings of SHIMMER, both Davina and Mia can pull out some higher profile wins against some of the more established veteran talent on the roster.

These last set of tapings sounded really great and I'm really sad that I didn't get to go to them. Also miss watching live wrestling with my buddies Zodo and Lyle. Can't wait for the dvds to come out!

Glancing at some of the pics from 47... Kana looks to be sporting quite a shiner prior to the match. Ouch! [Insert reference to Hogan's shiner before Wrestlemania IX here]And poor Lufisto, looks like somebody tried to choke her out before the first taping. I'm actually glad that stuff isn't Photoshopped out. It shows what you go through for us...  On a less painful note: It's hilarious that people find Sweet Saraya's smile even more unnerving than her usual frown/grimace. ;D |

First, excellent point in saying on my complaining of the "and a half" chant is hypocritical to me joining in on the "two" chant. I'll keep that in mind next time I get whiny.  Now, perhaps I just find it disrespectful to the women in the ring when people chant and shout stuff that has nothing to do with what's going on, whether it's those wrestling, or their storylines. I get that some matches are not everyone's cup of tea, but some of these antics occured when pure gold was taking place, which just blows my mind. So, as you noted, management is fine with what you do. Then I guess it's my problem. Fine. Do whatever you want. I'll sit somewhere else. Someone else who is less annoyed can take my seat. |

So this my Summary/Review of the past(my second) Tapings:
I don´t want to judge the Wrestlingaspect,since I am not a Wrestler,but to me this was the best overall Shows I have ever seen!! I have seen great Matches(none was bad,that I would say,they should leave it off),great Atmosphere,good Fans! Also liked the new After-Show Party Location,which was huge & had enough space for everybody!
So,my 17 Hours Flight from Germany and back was worth it!!
Thank you for all that Weekend of Fun to everybody at Shimmer(from Dave Prazac to every single Helper in the Back to every Photographer & Cameraman).
Special thanks to my Travelpartner Robert,Oliver who guided & helped us SO much,Greg for driving us to the Eagles Club and everybody else who I met and helped us!!
Hope to come Back again to the Tapings in October.
