So plenty of time to put together those limited edition holographic, scratch 'n' sniff covers, awesome! I just wanted to say this... nobody should ever bash the mid-card. That is what builds the excitement to the main event. Most of my favorite wrestlers are not main-eventers (or haven't been for awhile). They're not just filler! Somebody was talking about people like Mia Yim and Davina Rose continuing to lose but improving, and I'll second that sentiment. Winning isn't everything. Putting on great matches is what it's all about, and I can't think of anybody on the roster who doesn't seem to be working hard to do that. I do hope though that the belts continue to "mean something." If they're too easily won or lost, sure I guess that creates tension, but there's certain promotions we could mention where that has gone too far, when the belts are being passed around every night, it kind of makes it meaningless. Don't swerve just for the sake of swerving. Note I'm just saying that as my opinion after only a year or two as a viewer, I trust Shimmer booking not to screw that up, but if you long-time Shimmer followers want to say I don't know what I'm talking about and cite this or that example, go right ahead. PS: Did anybody meet theflozone at the show? I don't recall seeing a "Melissa fears Portia" sign on Sat... spiffie, your post reminded me of this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSz16ngdsG0

Flozone wasn't there! He was supposed to be a couple seats away from me, but that chair was empty all weekend.

Hey, I'm the free hugs guy. The one thing I didn't like sitting in that side was the amount of times the camera guy was in my way. It wasn't a huge problem, but it was kind of annoying at times, especially if I wanted to take a pic of what was going on in the ring. I think next time, I am gonna sit on the side with the hard cam. That seems to have the least amount of issues with things getting in the way. But really, there isn't really a bad spot to sit in since the place is so small to begin with. Intermission at SHIMMER might be the craziest part of any wrestling show I've ever been to though. I was on the opposite side of you first person by the entrence. which wouldnt seem like a good spot, but besides the ring post and once and again a camera man wasnt a bad spot.

I feel bad for "offering" to get him a beer (then finding out he gave up drinking, which is fine, I don't really either, it was more of an olive branch). Brief interwebz drama aside, it would have been fun to meet him and see how normal we fans are. TFZ, if you're reading this, no hard feelings, okay?

I was wondering if flozone made an appearance. That was my one unanswered question from the weekend so thank you Kurgan for asking and Evergrey for answering. Now I can return to wondering where the MegaColors go from here...

MegaColors vs. Awesome Threesome for the SPARKLE Tag Title, obviously. I think Ms. Eryn might have the edge over Golden Vampire, though.

Great to meet your fellow fans and share experiences. Hey, were you the bearded guy wearing the Fez? (Fezzes are cool, btw) I think we may have talked briefly at the Mexican place before the show. Of course initially I confused you with another guy we talked to at Vol. 41-42 who had a similar look (he "flew in" for the show from Texas I think, so he was our first Shimmer fan we met in the flesh). Speaking of people, did anyone meet those two snazzily dressed older gentlemen, one was dark haired in black and the other white haired in white (they sat in the back section opposite the cameras, so the ring was between them and the main stage crew area). They stood up when Saraya was going around Sat making threats to the audience. We chatted with them a bit in line too.

The white haired dude who looks like JJ Dillon? I've never had a chance to talk to him but he's been at the last couple tapings and is always the best dressed man in the room other than Joey Eastman. He always makes me want to dress better for these, like going a baseball game in 1937.

Maybe they are actually Highlander style Immortals. We should start scanning old footage of the crowd to see them. And eerily we'll find out they haven't aged. I suppose that's even too geeky for Regen-X... There's always at least one well dressed guy in every crowd, and not necessarily gangsters.

That was indeed me. I don't have a lot of bladder stamina, so I go across the street to buy tacos, or a big orange drink, to justify using their bathroom. It doesn't hurt that their tacos are awesome. I love the chorizo tacos!

Cool! Epic beard, btw (my friend had a pretty epic beard going himself, me I'm going with the goatee). You said a other few guys were sporting that look. We should form a Beard Brigade (tm) or something. So yeah, customers only at Taqueria Y Restaurant[/i]. But I can stand by their food as well! But I do have a recommendation for any binge eaters before a six hour show... Just sayin'

On another note, during 41-42 my only complaint was that being in the Joshi Fans section (which was a blast), it was almost too much with all the chants and clever witty shoutouts. By the end of the evening one of my ears was sore from having the guy behind me shout into it. Don't get me wrong, I loved his enthusiasm and his comments were funny, but man, wish I had had an earplug to dampen it a little bit. I'm sure their chants were about the wrestlers who were there, and about the matches going on. I bet he wasn't shouting "Buggy" like a frickin parrott all night. Or chanting "a half" between a refs 10 count in fricking championship matches. But let's stay positive.

The Buggy faction wasn't too obnoxious... near the entrance curtain, right? One guy did demand one of the Sparkle wrestlers "give her the stink face," near the start of her match and later on somebody gave a detailed shout out which was responded to with "WHAT???" (guess they didn't understand) I'm not against people yelling (at a wrestling show???), far from it. I'm just saying I would have packed an earplug, or offered to switch places with him so he wasn't directly yelling in my ear all evening. STAYING POSITIVE! I don't envy the parent who had to answer the question, "Daddy, what's a 'hussy'?" ------------ You know, there's a project for you. You know how the MST3K guys do RiffTrax for various movies out there? Some fans should put together commentary tracks for use with the DVDs, to re-recreate some of that live experience magic for the rest of us. Pity we can't always hear what the wrestlers are saying (again nothing against Dave & Portia's commentary!).
