Maybe Shimmer could get advertising fees from Microsoft thanks to the Xbox 360 gear.

She's been sponsored by Microsoft in her time.
To play devil's advocate for a second, is there any credence to accusations that Kana is TOO stiff? I know wrestling isn't exactly a tickling competition, but there's a fine line between working snug and just plain hurting someone...
I'd like to point out that I'm not accusing her of going out to hurt people, I'm just after other people's thoughts on the matter.

To play devil's advocate for a second, is there any credence to accusations that Kana is TOO stiff? Are these accusations from people who wrestled her or colleagues? Or rumor milling from people who don't even read Japanese? The answer to that suggests the credibility of it.

There's something about it on Puro Resprentin'... representingpuroresu.wordpress.com/joshi-puroresu/independentsfreelancers/kana/And I had a reaction on my Facebook about how hard her strikes were. Like I said, I'm not criticising her; I was just after people's opinions.

So neither of those things are exactly a direct source on the inner turmoil of Joshi Puroresu, so how much weight can you put in it (though Representing Puroresu is a great site)? You have to understand, the vast majority of what's written in English about Joshi is bullshit. Joshi fan fic built on half translated bits and pieces, often with no understanding of the difference between what's kayfabe and what's not. Even the interview we did with Kana which was, yes, mostly kayfabe threw some Joshi fans into a fury and I got to read on other message boards about how Kana was "burying" the Joshi scene (as opposed to just playing a heel). Best to leave the Joshi rumors alone. They're even less reliable than US rumors, given the language barrier and many other factors.

Fair play. Thanks for the insight.
I really should get to learning some Japanese though. Perhaps I can get the basic speaking down by October...

This is, to state the obvious, very exciting. It's thanks to John H. that Kana came to my attention (and also, thanks John!) and she's quickly become one of my favorite wrestlers period. I've haven't seen as many who take the effort to communicate with their fans who don't even speak the same language.
There is the very real danger that Kana will not be happy until she's made somebody at SHIMMER cry. She feeds on tears. You don't have to believe me, but that's the facts.

Much as I love Ayumi Kurihara, I love Kana even more...SOOO going to " mark out" for her ;D It still hasn't sunk in...that I'm going to see my favorite female wrestler, live at SHIMMER! I knew it would, eventually, happen but thought it would be in 2012. I've been a fan of Kana since around 2008 & she just gets better every year. She has it all...charisma, beauty, skill, brains & incredible sex appeal...not to mention the most vicious kicks in all female wrestling Tweeted her that I hope she wins the SMASH Women's title & brings it to SHIMMER...she tweeted back, "OK, sure!" To be honest, I wasn't thrilled when she cut her hair...but have gotten used to her "new look"! Can't wait to see "Queen Kana" at SHIMMER!
