Cruise's matches were Cruise matches, pretty much. She did get a tooth knocked out, though, by Melissa I think it was.

Was not at all impressed by the Melissa match. Very very slow, plodding, drawn out match. Had the match been done at a brisker pace and crammed all the action into 2-3 minutes less, it'd have been a lot better. The MsChif match will be one of those underrated undercard gems. That match was great and really made Melanie.
As for McKay, Hamada match was good but could have used another five minutes at least, tag with Serena against Ninjas was okay, 2/3 falls against Nicole was a bit of a letdown after how good their Vol. 33 match was and Athena will be another underrated undercard gem. So overall, decent weekend.

Nothing from where I was sitting. Also thank you Hyperion for the free DVD (though I was more than willing to pay you) and I will definitely be donating to your disaster relief charity for the people of Japan. Man that was an incredible set of tapings this past weekend. Loved Sara's royal wave, Mercedes dancing with Bryce, Mschif returning, the awesome silliness that was Regeneration X, K-Nox returning, the terrifying greatness of the Knights, Eagles becoming even more obsessive about the title, Lufisto returning, to say nothing about all the incredible matches that went on. To all the women of Shimmer, to everyone behind the scenes that make the shows happen, to my fellow fans thank you for making this past weekend one to remember. My vocal chords are ruined from all the cheering and booing and chanting and shouting I did but it was worth it.

I just felt it was another match that was far too slow paced. I realize that as a 2/3 Falls match, it was bound to go a little long but they moved so slow that it was hard to keep up any heat since after any sort of significant sequence that would build up the excitement and get the crowd to react, there'd be a good 30 seconds of stalling and/or selling and so the crowd would deflate just as quick. It was hard to stay into it the entire match.

I felt like I was watching LOTR when Madison was doing her promo. And when I was talking to her during Mschif's promo with Amber, she sounded the same way... Then again it could of been what I was saying.

I had also commented about how long it'll be until Madison starts calling the belt her "precious." I like the way her personality is evolving the longer she holds the title.

So overall, decent weekend. I think the main event of both days were cut a bit short as the building curfue was 7 hours after the scheduled start of the show (9 and 8 PM). Hamada/Eagles went into overdrive, as everything from the entrances to most of the match were done at a quick pace in order to get the taping done in time. Obviously I don't know all the finances or rules involved with the building, but it seems like booking the venue for another half hour would be the best interest next time. Although there were several delays on both shows that led to this happening.

DUring the promo for Del Rey/Eagles vs Melissa/Ayako, Del Rey and Eagles complained about the match while Melissa bickered back, and the camera panned to Ayako a couple times, and she had the best facials, like "I have no clue what they are saying", it was hilarious. Loved it.

The more that time passes, the more that I'm souring on the second title change. Simply for the fact that putting the titles right back on another heel team throws us right back into the same sort of limbo that they were in while the Ninjas were champions in that there isn't a lot of strong face teams for them to defend against. Wheras if the titles stay on 3S, they can face either heel or face teams and so the title situation is really wide open and lots of teams can get shots.
Plus, with the tag title switch, it left a forgone conclusion in a lot of people's heads about the main event that Madison would retain since it was highly unlikely there'd be two title switches back to back on the same volume. Don't get me wrong, Madison/Ayako was an amazing contest with great crowd support but I do think that had 3S retained, Hamada would have benefited from the fans thinking she really could walk out with the belt and the crowd heat would have been even more nuclear for that match.
I will concede the point that giving one of the titles to Daizee means that now they can cut actual promos for their defenses which 3S could not do (at least not very well due to their limited English). But by the same token, how many promos are there during a SHIMMER show anyway? And what's stopping the opponents from doing the promos if there even is one at all?
So I don't know. Maybe it's just because I'm a huge mark for Misaki and her and Matsumoto put on spectacular match after spectacular match all weekend but I really would have liked to see them leave with the belts.

I don't know why they don't do a heel vs heel match in shimmer. There are so many face vs face matches. I'M not saying have one at every taping but once in a while would be nice.
