Here's an idea I came across while I was watching an NWA Cyberspace DVD that I had stored away for a while. In the promotion, there was this group called "the Foreign Exchange" which was basically a group where any non-American wrestler, male or female could be a part of. In one match, there were two valets for one tag team. Two female managers.
It occurred to me that women, just the same as men, could band together for a cause. For instance, there are tag teams in Shimmer. Why not have a stable? Why not have, let's say, a stable of Japanese women determined to dominate the ranks of Shimmer in order to prove that they are the best female wrestlers around? It would work just as well with Caucasian atheletes, too. My idea is based on the notion that two valets are just as effective- if not more so- than one. If that's the case, why not have four or five women working together, with one woman (let's say the leader of the group) on the outside for a tag match?
I'm just floating the idea out there, but I think it has some potential and could be the impetus for more than one feud.

I've been hoping for a Team Canada stable for a while.

Oh, by the way welcome to the boards, damagegirl! Stables are good sometimes and bad sometimes because they take the focus off wrestlers as individuals. But that can be avoided if you put together a Horsemen-type outfit and take would take a while to build up so they look even established together and can still shine as individuals.

The Minnesota Home-Wrecking Crew already has two awesome members - but should they feel like adding some more, it would be pretty cool to see. (I personally volunteer my services as manager, if need be! LOL)
Otherwise, maybe just an nWo style rebel group that does what they want, when they want.

I'm not so crazy about the faction/staple business. i loved the four horsemen and all, but it's been so overdone. I guess I wouldn't mind one group, perhaps an anti-Shimmer outsider set led by April Hunter or some other controversial figure.

The trick with stables is not to be too big and not to let the gimmick get old fast. A good angle with the right build up can work just right! I agree about the anti-SHIMMER squad. Hunter would be a great leader for them.

The whole point of stables, if done right, is to get a group of people over at the same time. I have always been a fan of stables, but as noted before, they can’t be too big nor used in a lame way since that devalues the purpose. I’m all for the idea personally, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

That was the good thing/trouble with the nWo. It got a whole bunch of people over (or in some cases, even MORE over) and then anyone who slapped an nWo shirt on their back had overnight success. But it also worked against them as soon enough it became overkill.

I think The Experience could be a good stable with more older talents like Luna Vachon, Jacqueline Moore, Sherri Martel etc. added, trying to teach the younger women of SHIMMER a thing or two. I think it would be better as a stable with a few established greats in women's wrestling rather than just a tag team.

You take Rain and I'll take Lacey and we could be their male erron boys or what have you

OMG.... LMAO.... well, if you feel that confident, then by all means keep Lacey's temper in check. The only saving grace (that could come in handy when she gets cheesed off) is that she loves horses. Mention horses and maybe that will calm her down
