I don't know how many of you would be interested in checking this video out, but... I found it saved on a Sony Memory Stick from back in February. It was recorded in low quality to the Memory Stick, so it basically looks like garbage in this form, but I don't have the actual tape of it anymore to capture/upload it in higher quality. It's a three minute promo video (mix of interviews, match clips, and music) that we threw up on the video screen at the AAW show at the Eagles Club in Berwyn the week before the 2/12 taping (Vols. 3 & 4) to try to get the AAW fans to come and check out the taping. Anyway... right click, and Save Target to download this low quality gem, which features Lacey talking about matches that never happened and such... www.rohphotos.com/shimmer/new/vids/promofor212.WMVMost of the match clips come from the backup camera that was at ringside for Vols. 1 & 2 (some of that footage was used for the early web previews of the Vol. 1 matches that we threw online). That camera was lower quality than the ones used to make up the DVD's, but it did film the whole taping as a third point of view. We're toying with the idea of putting a "bootleg edition~!" of Vol. 1 out with just that backup camera's view and alternate commentary. Would any of you even be interested in something like that? Just testing the waters.

That was kind of cool. Always interesting to see that kind of stuff that we normally never see.
As far as the "Bootleg Edition" of Volume 1, I like the idea, but would probably find it hard to spend the money to get only matches I've seen before with alternate commentary. However, if the DVD had a couple bonus matches (maybe Allison/Lacey from ROH 11/19/05, the 4-way from XWA 2/06 and/or the full Lexie/Lorelei match from FIP 1/20/06) I would probably buy it. I'd love to hear the alternate commentary and everything, but I'd want to see a couple of new matches too. If it was released that way, I think more people would pick it up.

I wouldn't mind getting a "Bootled Edition" of Volume 1. I always enjoy alternate commentary, and the different point of view would be nice as well. Though I hope it will be cheaper then the real ROH version.

Yeah, with extra matches it would only make it a worthy buy since most on here will have Shimmer Vol. 1 in some form or another. For those who don't have it and don't want to spend money on the retail version, this might be a cheap way for them to feel like purchasing it and getting them into the SHIMMER promotion

I'd be down for a "bootleg" version of volume 1.

Very cool, thanks for sharing that with us.
In thinking about a 'bootleg' edition, I am not sure that I'd like to see it as its own DVD. What might be an idea though would be to break parts of it up and offer those parts as bonus on future DVD's. I think it would be interesting if the alternate commentary would be of the ladies calling their own matches.
A suggestion I have for you too is this, aside from the ladies who have been a part of ROH, I am not sure that many of us know much about the other ladies' backgrounds. Maybe a video profile piece would be something that you could put out on occasion. Someone like Rebecca Knox, who I think is awesome....before seeing her in SHIMMER, I never heard of her. I wouldn't expect that you'd have access to matches they've wrestled in other promotions, but what I am thinking is like what the UFC does for it's fighters before their matches. Have the ladies talk about their backgrounds, their training, maybe some smack talk mixed in...it would be very cool in my opinion.
