Similar to what other promotions have done, mostly Ring of honor, I have decided to do a rankings system even though there is currently no titles in SHIMMER. This consists of those who have wrestled for SHIMMER, either on shows or SHIMMER-Showcase matches, and the only exceptions from the rankings are those with WWE developmental contracts, this is based on win loss records (draws count as half), & percentages in SHIMMER shows and SHIMMER-Showcase matches. To qualify in the rankings, a wrestler must have wrestled at least 3 times in either SHIMMER shows or SHIMMER-Showcase matches (in ROH, AAW, etc). Here is the rankings currently:
#1 Lexie Fyfe 8-1 .889 #2 Rebecca Knox 3-1 .750 *#3 Malia Hosaka 4-2 .667 *#4.LuFisto 2-1 .667 *#5 Nattie Neidhart 2-1 .667 #6 Sara Del Rey 8-4-1 .654 #7 Nikki Roxx 5-3 .625 #8 MsChif 7-6 .538 #9 Daizee Haze 8-7 .533 #10 Cheerleader Melissa 5-6 .455 #11 Cindy Rogers 4-5 .444 **#12 Allison Danger 7-9 .438 **#13 Mercedes Martinez 3-4-1 .438 #14 Tiana Ringer 3-4 .429 #15 Lacey 6-9 .400 #16 Amber O'Neal 3-5 .375 #17 Rain 4-7 .364 #18 Ariel 2-5 .286 #19 Serena Deeb 1-3 .250 #20 Lorelei Lee 1-7 .125 #21 Josie 0-4 .000
*=tied but #3 was determined by wins and #4 & #5 were determined by LuFisto's single match win @ AAW the night before Vol 7 & 8 Tapings **=Tied but #12 was determined by wins
Not Ranked: Amazing Kong 2-0 1.000 Ann Brookstone 0-1 .000 Christie Ricci 1-1 .500 Portia Perez 0-2 .000

this is interesting MM1 but I think a flaw in the ranking system is that it does not take into account the quality of competition. Mercedes Martinez may, technically, have a losing record but look at who she has wrestled in SHIMMER. I mean does anyone think she's the 13th best wrestler in SHIMMER? also it should take into account how active a wrestler has been.
I think a more accurate ranking system would produce results that looked something like this...
THE IGBY RANKINGS
1. Sara Del Rey 2. Mercedes Martinez 3. Daizee Haze 4. Lacey 5. Cheerleader Melissa 6. Rebecca Knox 7. Nikki Roxx 8. Lexie Fyfe 9. MsChif 10. Rain 11. Allison Danger 12. Lufisto 13. Nattie Neidhart 14. Malia Hosaka 15. Cindy Rogers 16. Ariel 17. Amber O'Neal 18. Tiana Ringer 19. Lorelei Lee 20. Serena Deeb 21. Josie

MM1's rating system stays more in kayfabe. Now we all know the likes of Lacey and Mercedes Martinez shouldn't be at the lower ranking though in Shimmer they have lost maybe more matches then they should have.
So MM1's list is a nice look at Shimmer in kayfabe.

Especially if a one loss Notre Dame leap frogs a possible one loss Michigan team. I HATE polls.

Just wait till USC runs the rest of the table and screws over someone when West Virginia and Louisville falter.

I really think Lousiville will win this Thursdays matchup. They are for real.Although Michigan and Ohio State are the top two teams one of them is going to lose.I hate the rankings system. They should have a playoff system. All the ladies do an awesome job. Some may be better than others. But the majority of the ladies kick butt.

I don't know what you guys are moaning about. It's fun to debate who the best wrestler is. It's all in good fun.
My point was that sometimes intuitive rankings make more sense than just comparing win-loss records.

Yes, but with wrestling it is really fan support and who they like. For example, I've always loved Malia Hosaka even when she was a jobber in the LPWA. Now I'm wondering why she isn't main eventing here in Shimmer whenever she comes out she is drawing great heat. Her tag team with Lexie is awesome and yet she hasn't been programmed to do anything. But that is one of the problems with a promotion like shimmer. There are the good young talents like Melissa (I refuse to call her a cheerleader) and Daizee but what do you do with the women who are true warriors and have paid and paid their dues. They need their moment in the sun.
