The whole "it's going to be a great show regardless of who is there" is flawed. Dave doesn't need to worry about us regulars. Me, Ryan, British Jason, Stevie, Rik, Jon, Billiken...he knows we're going to buy the DVDs. However, the people on here who are going to buy the DVDs even if they don't have Melissa, Kong, or Daffney on them, we're not going to keep SHIMMER alive on our own. You need to reach out to as many people as possible, and it's easier to sell them on buying a DVD if it has Melissa, Kong, and Daffney on it rather than Tenille, Skater, and Rayna. It's not a knock on those girls, but it's the recognizable names that are going to move copies beyond this forum. There's no way they could have 32 women like they had in May wrestle twice in one day. Dave said that the October '08 shows ran too long. The women I listed who didn't wrestle on all 4 tapings in May are popular - particularly originals like Ariel and Allison Danger. If top level talent like that isn't being used on every volume when they're doing two days, it tells me they'd need to make major cuts to do one day. This would be a lot worse than missing the couple TNA women for a few volumes. If Cheerleader Melissa and Amazing Kong miss 4 volumes, I don't think it will suffer that much. Look at all the key talent that has been out of shows before. Portia Perez didn't wrestle on 14, 17, 18, and 23 Mercedes Martinez didn't wrestle on 9-16 Allison Danger didn't wrestle on 18, 21, 22, 23, and 26 Nikki Roxx didn't wrestle on 15-18 LuFisto didn't wrestle on 9-18 Daizee Haze didn't wrestle on 19 and 20 The Experience didn't wrestle on 19 and 20 Wesna Busic didn't wrestle on 19 and 20 Cindy Rogers didn't wrestle on 19-26 Lacey didn't wrestle on 3, 4, 19-22 and is now a manager

Malia Hosaka wasn't on 1 or 2. Any updates on Malia. I know Lexie will not be there, not so sure about Malia.
I don't know we are missing what I consider the top two contenders for the Shimmer Title right now, and one of the members of the top Tag Team...

I really enjoyed the four show weekend last time. It was a nice, full weekend with 2 after parties. I agree that there is plenty enough talent to fill 4 tapings, and I really don't think the absence of the TNA contracted will destroy the upcoming shows or DVD sales. As stated, top level talent has been absent before and the show went on, and they were still excellent. This is the good thing about having so many talented wrestlers in one place, you never know who will be the next to step up in the absence of others. I have never felt that only one or two people carried Shimmer, the roster as a whole is what makes it great. That being said, I do understand why Dave want's to have them on the show, even if it has to be one day, but, there will be compromises either way. I know we were all spoiled by the whole weekend last time, but Dave will do what he feel is best for the company, and I won't really be upset either way, but one thing Dave....if you have to do just one day, make each show 3 1/2 hours long.

I don't think SHIMMER is going to suffer without Kong and Melissa, but I don't like the idea of this being a 4th year anniversary celebration and leaving those two (along with Daffney and Ashley Lane) out of it. The thought of celebrating the fact that SHIMMER is still around makes me feel bad knowing that that they aren't there to celebrate also. Especially when someone has just about literally been their since day one.

Honestly, I think they would be great, but I can understand the other point of view. I suppose how much would be dependent on how many people are fans of Melissa and Kong more than Shimmer. I don't doubt there are some. I'm sure Dave will make the calculations and decide what he thinks is best and I'll be happy with it. However, noting the situation would go from selling a DVD on Melissa, Kong, and Daffney to selling it on Tenille, Skater and Rayna is a bit of an exaggeration when you cruise right by Sara DelRay, Daizee Haze, the IHWC with Lacey, MsChif, Nikki Roxx, etc.

I hope the dates stay on Oct 24 & 25. I like the idea of having 4 tapings on one weekend. I would like to see TNA talent there, but if that doesn't happen, there are still some really good talent that will be there that weekend. Plus that two after show parties. You can't beat that.

Let the other girls be able to work each volume and take the money for the TNA girls to pay for bringing in someone like Maemura, Kimura, Aja, Toyota....

I don't think so SnakeEyes...With all due respect they probably will draw a pretty high salary. I know nothing about Japanese Wrestlers. But a.)The airfare from Japan has to be expensive (Maybe they might try, they have been flying girls from Australia. But I think Japan would be a little more expensive?)
b.I'm not so sure of their pricetags, they are WORLDWIDE STARS, no disrespect to Jetta, McKay, Eagles, etc. And might force a much higher salary.
Then again I could be wrong?

Thanks Ryan, I wasn't 100% certain. A bunch of women from Japan that will not get people in, the huge cost of flying them in, I just don't think it's worth it. Then again...

I had a dream last night that DP announced a SHIMMER double-shot on a Tuesday evening in late November.
I doubt this will come to fruition.

psst...FreakyJason...We celebrate one of the biggest hollidays in our country around that time...I don't think Mr.Prazak and Mrs.Danger would let do something like that...If they do we may need to have an adopt-a-Brit for our big holliday.

To be fair, Thanksgiving used to be one of the biggest nights of the year for pro wrestling shows on the theory that fans would have their dinner and then go out to the matches as a family. Of course, that's all changed now . . . but UK Jason wasn't quite as off as he might have seemed to you originally.

Ah the bygone days when not every pay-per view was held on a Sunday. SummerSlam used to be on the last Monday of August until 1995. The Royal Rumble was on a Saturday in 1991. In the beginning, there was "This Tuesday in Texas" which would not be revisited again as a ppv night until 13 years later when "Taboo Tuesday" had a couple good years in that slot. Last but not least; originally, Starrcade was the Thanksgiving night wrestling ppv tradition, until the Survivor Series came along in 1987 to muscle them out of that spot and remained as a holiday treat until 1991 when WWE moved it up to the day before Thanksgiving for reasons inexplicable, until 1995 when all ppv's, with very rare exception, were cemented into a Sunday night slot.

If SHIMMER is on the 1st of November, There could be a party the night before... A costume party...
