It's pretty fu*ked up when I have to be the voice of reason. I'm going to simplify what Damagegirl is trying to say, or at least my perception of it. She doesn't view WWE as a very good wrestling promotion. My response to her has been that they're an entertainment company, who happens to have millions of people watching their weekly programming, just set a revenue record for Reliant Stadium, and because of all this, they're going to change what they're doing. From what I can tell, she wants to like WWE, but they have alienated her. She said stated that she doesn't mind entertainment or comedy in her wrestling, but she has not been entertained by WWE lately. The problem is, and she needs to realize this, WWE doesn't care what she thinks. They don't care what I think. So, you either have to grin and bear it and watch WWE for what it is, or not watch it at all. No change is coming, and Damagegirl, I think you need to come to terms with that. The sooner you do that, the happier you'll be. Savior and Jon, whether it was their intentions or not, seem to be attacking her and picking apart every word she says. You guys just need to chill a little bit. So, everyone, take a Valium, smoke a ciargrette, pack a bowl, do whatever you need to do and chill.

I think maybe you overestimate my feelings on the matter. It's just having to explain myself to people (or one person) who goes out of their way to misunderstand means I'm re-stating my case over and over and that might seem like I feel strongly about it. I don't really. I don't really mind what the WWE does one way or the other. I just won't have someone tell me it's filet mignon when I know it's just the same old greasy hamburger.

Haha, Damagegirl is not my "opponent." I apologize if she thought I was picking on her. Just the direction the thread was going with many people's replies. I was making some points that her complaints about WWE could be made about other wrestling promotions (including the one she decided to mention as her alternative). I have no problem with what she prefers to watch because I like NJPW too, but at the same time, she said, "Why can't people figure out that's what delivers the most to the audience and to the viewers?" It's a broad statement.
I could post about anything and Tamika would troll the post to take the opposite position because, as she told me in a PM, she takes issue with me having a Sara Del Rey signature and avatar. Something about me being "counter culture" and that I'm showing support to a heel. Interesting paradox as she makes all these Japanese references every other post that have nothing to do with SHIMMER. She offers nothing of value and only makes disparaging remarks. She should be banned.

I didn't think you were "picking on me." I just thought you were being a complete idiot. Perhaps if you want someone banned for making remarks that you don't particularly care for, you might try and curtail your own natural desire for egotism and odd self-righteousness? At least that's the feeling I get while I read your posts. It must be very difficult for you to have someone disagree with anything you say.
I really hope you and your alter ego learn that someone else's opinion is just as valid as your own. But that's probably not in the cards huh?

Name calling? I don't think I said "this is how you have to think" anywhere.

if she were banned, where else would she have to go? she does seem to live for the arguments with you, as do a few others. it gets quite annoying how every topic turns into something like this, and that is why i often quit reading them. i imagine you could start a thread with the topic "the earth is round" and she would make 40 edited posts declaring it is flat.

How am I being a troll? It's a WrestleMania thread. You didn't pay for WrestleMania, didn't watch WrestleMania, and never had any intention of doing so. Why make so much effort to complain about it? Then further it by telling everyone what's better? You could say you didn't watch or not have replied at all and moved on.
I have one account. Dave can check the IPs of different posters.

I can tell you what isn't good (ie, what I wouldn't like) because I know my own preferences. It's very easy for me to predict what I would like and I wouldn't like. Then I state what I would rather watch. Then I state what I would rather have them do. Is that so confusing?
Apparently, it must be because you seem completely lost.

Out of curiosity, how was the MITB match? I tuned in kinda late and was only able to catch the very end of it.

"You could steal them so the stores think its a high risk to carry them. You could hijack the trucks like in Fast & The Furious."
Let me rephrase. Choosing not buy it in the first place is all you can really legally do.
And you're actually going to throw that list of no names up their to defend Rourke's boxing career? Get out of here with that.

Rourke himself was a no name boxer though, he just had a background and thats basically all they credited him with anyhow, I think its a mute point since Rourke never bragged about his boxing background either, why would he if hes being nominated for acting awards, the match was good too, Steamboat was crazy in there. And HBK vs Taker. I really cant say anything about ROH over the weekend except that, they hotdogged WWE's flagship PPVs name to sell tickets whether or not WWE knew or cared isnt the point, thats like trying to hold your go-kart championships next door to the Daytona 500 or buying commercial time during the superbowl just on a different channel. Besides I thought they wanted to set themselves apart from WWE not fall into line. But that relays another point. ROH will never be a threat. They cant go ou there and put out a Wrestlemania type atmosphere, no one can right now, not even Bischoff. Ratings are basically meaningless to us anyhow, unless youre buying airtime or own stock, just watch what entertains you what difference does it make what RAW did over the weekend, Raws fans are typically receptive and will watch anything they put out. A TV show can draw a .5 rating and still be successful on the network for years if they keep sponcerships. Wrestling wise ROH puts out a better show. Entertainment wise. WWE. IF the masses wanted wrestling, WWE would still have wrestling constantly, but todays wrestling requires that little bit of stupid soap opera to sell matches. Im not saying ROH would not be successful, I know they will be and pull for them to get a cable deal, on a channel people actually get, but threat against WWE just is not happening. Thats just my take on it
