Suggestions? Obviously the goal of this is to show fans a nice little example of what SHIMMER is like without giving away any key DVD selling matches.

Allison Danger vs. Tiana Ringer from Vol 4
It's a good match and the ROH fans are already familiar with Allison Danger.

You could give them the first fall out of the Haze/Knox 2/3 falls match and then make them get the DVD to see the rest. Just make it really clear that it's a 2/3 falls match and put a graphic at the end that says "See the rest on Shimmer Volume 5."
Not only do the ROH fans get a taste of a great match, they have the Haze who they all know, but they also get a taste of K-Nox who I think they'd take to quite well considering the Danielson love despite his actions, I myself am very guilty of this.
After that I'd agree with FlowerPower, Danger Ringer is a good one, you could also put up Melissa vs. Danger from volume 5 as well, they know both of the wrestlers and there's a ton of other matches on the card that already make it a must buy, and it's a fantasic match to boot. Plus it'd be a great way to promote the new DVD.

At the end of a lot of ROH's older Straight Shooting DVDs they had a nice highlight package covering a lot of their big mtches from 2004. Something like that for Shimmer would work quite well.
If it has to be a full match, tape something new at October tapings. Gabe mentioned on Observer live a few weeks back that the September ROH shows wouldn't be out until around X-mas anyways which should give them enough time to be able to include a match from Shimmers next show as a bonus.
If it has to be a full match that's allready been taped, I nominate Melissa vs Taylor from Vol 3 or Sara vs Rain from Vol 4. Both were good enough that they could get new fans interested AND haven't been hyped enough that giving them away would affect DVD sales.

We're doing production on those DVDs later this week, actually (by the time all of the editing is complete, graphics added, the DVDs sent off for replication, shipped to ROH's offices, and sold to the fans after releasing the shows that were taped prior to these, it will basically be the holiday season). The bonus match will be something shot between Vols. 1 and 4. Right now we're leaning toward Del Rey vs. Rain from Vol. 4 as the bonus match for the GBHV Night 1 release.

I'd go with the Danger/Knox match from SHIMMER vol3. That would probably be considered a key DVD selling match. Knox's debut, and the semi-main event. I know seeing Knox was one of the main reasons I purchased that DVD. |

How about the Shantelle Taylor v Cheerleader Melissa match from volume 3? It was a good match, and the commentary made reference to the Melissa/MsChif rivalry, which might get people interested in seeing their matches.

Del Rey/Rain is a pretty solid choice, both ladies have been in ROH before so most of the fans will recognize them, and the match is good without handing out too much.
Melissa/Taylor has it's merrits too, it's solid, most of them will recognize Melissa if not Taylor, and once again it's not a selling point like Danger/Knox is from Vol. 3.
Another thing you could see about having someone do is a "Welcome to Shimmer" video, using Veruca Salt's music of course, I'm sure someone on here has the neccessary skills, showing off allot of the spots from Shimmer to get people's attention, lord knows it's an easy way to get people to atleast pick up a DVD or two and give it a chance, and throw it on right before or after the match. Those little highlight vids are things that get me to check out allot of the wrestling that I do.

^^^ I think Nykk from the ROH boards is quite talented. If you've ever seen his Daizee Haze 'Loaded Flower' music vid, you'd know for sure he can do it all  |

Yeah, that Daizee vid is quite good, captured allot of her great heel moments, I've seen some of his other stuff and he'd be great for making the vid, just have him wait to get Volume 5, too much great stuff on that one, and see if he'll make a welcome vid, probably be more than willing help out. Not that I'm volunteering his services or anything, just saying he's really good.
