Then when was the last time the WWE did one of "those" of matches? You can research it if you like but the correct answer is they don't do them anymore. Costume matches are different as they are done frequently in Japan. So either you're not watching or you're a dumbass. Probably both. I agree with you. I am an arrogant know it all especially compared to whiny babies like you. See, I don't think Dave started this thread so dopey ROHbots can bash the WWE. And the bashing is incorrect. The bottom line is this. The WWE hasn't done lingerie matches, pillow fights, gravy matches, mud matches etc. etc. for the last couple of years. Prove differently or shut up.

I agree with the name calling being put to a stop in the post below this one. I just wanted to say you can call it a costume match or whatever you want...it's still the WWE sinking to promote their female talent. ROHbots? I used to watch WWE/WWF and just think wow these matches with the women aren't very good, but just accepted the fact. Then Shimmer came along and seriously pointed out the flaws in WWE/WWF diva matches based solely on the quality of the shows that Shimmer puts on. So now I expect that quality from all and don't get it from the big boy company WWE, so yeah I'm disturbed by that. If that makes you an ROHbot/Shimmerbot because you love those companies for putting on a wrestling show the way they were meant to be, and with 100% talent and quality...then yes I'm an ROHbot.

The last time I remember seeing one of those type of matches was last year between Melina and Candice Michelle. They had a pudding match at One Night Stand. That would be about a year and a half ago. That's pretty recent, if you ask me.

And before that Candice and Melina had a Bra and Panties Match somewhere near WM 23 I believe. And her, Jillian, Mickie, Ashley, and either Maria or Candice had a five-way pillow fight. Before that, the last super-sensual match was the water fight with Candice and Torrie and their pillow fight. I think it's more few and far between than some people make it out to be....... Although I have noticed that a few more costume matches have become more prevalent but that part's ok to me.......

That's pretty recent, if you ask me. That's a long time in the wrestling business. They want the PG rating so they've stopped doing that kind of stuff. Cosplay matches are not the same thing. They're not exploitative in nature and anyone who thinks they are has a screw loose. They do them in Japan all the time and in fact there's a cosplay match on the upcoming Yumiko Hotta 25th anniversary show. The WWE does enough dumb stuff that pointless whining about something that is obviously innacurate is foolish.

WWE still has a far ways to go before it is acceptable for kids. Sex appeal is ok, if your good looking you can't escape being appealing... it doesn't mean there needs to be sleaze. I think some people here are confusing the two things. I can't excuse WWE or TNA at the moment, even for unrelated issues like poor booking overall or "thats the way its always been". I'm a Women's wrestling fan first and what WWE and TNA do affects the industry so not watching it at all is a non cause. And the Skeezy...sorry {cough}... Beautiful People on TNA are not Diva parodies anymore. They have crossed that line and are no longer tongue in cheek but blatant Divas now. Expecting the WWE or TNA to book women wrestlers like they're booked in SHIMMER is unrealistic. It's not their focus nor should it be. I will repeat myself. Sex appeal has been part of women's wrestling since the 50s and that includes SHIMMER. Get over it. And your reply is related to my post how? Obviously you have a problem with complex thought. I didn't say I expect them to be booked like Dave does. TNA has no focus... they never have! I'm going to qote myself from the post you replied to... "Sex appeal is ok, if your good looking you can't escape being appealing... it doesn't mean there needs to be sleaze. " Sleaze and sex appeal are two different things! Why would you even post here at the Shimmer Womens Athletes Forum if you don't care about these Ladies jobs and making their dreams come true? I would want nothing more as a fan of Cheerleader Melissa, Portia Perez or Lacey to see them succeed in this industry and be treated with some respect and dignity along the way. The wrestling industry and the majority of its fans whom it has brainwashed has an askew view on Women and it is persecuting women who logically can do the job better than the majority who are there. No other artistic industry has these problems. All your doing by calling people "whiners" is whining yourself! Your making a non issue about what the WWE and TNA do. It's quite obvious there is still a problem in those two companies and inside this bubble the industry lives in separately from all other forms of entertainment. "It's not their focus nor should it be." I just have to single out that quote. You're implying that TNA have a focus? thats rhetorical! Devaluing your talent and not having any creative prowess whatsoever to make money from said talent isn't a very good focus for a company.

So what do you guys think about Michelle losing the title to Maryse and then turning heel by attacking Maria? I for one am happy because I find Maryse to be quite entertaining. She has this great aura about her. She may not be the best wrestler out there but she fits the arrogant bitch gimmick to a T.
Now onto post match activities. I expect Michelle to attack Maria...but just by slapping her or something. I didn't her to throw her into the barracade and ring post. What I like most is that it got alot of heat from the crowd.

Maryse is the best female heel on RAW/SmackDown/Impact. It is very good to see the title on someone that understands their place and gimmick.

I got to say that Maryse has impressed me ever since she started wrestling on a constant basis. I never got that "Oh I look good so bow before me!" feel from Maryse. If she keeps this up, she's sure to be around for a long while and that's fine by me.

I was really happy tonight watching wwe smackdown because they gave them enough time for a decent angel and match where we got a good math a new champon in Maryse and a much needed heel full heel turn of Michelle Mccool I loved her beating up Maria Im a fan of Michelle & Maryse all the heel divas on SD. The way they did the heel turn was actually more than I expected to happen but from what I read from the rerts online when it was taped the Mccool heel turn had a part of it where the wwe officials had to come down and keep Mccool away from her plus the crowd was chanting you suck. But for my money congrats to the new champion Maryse and kudos to Michelle Mccool for turning heel.

Maryse will be a good heel champ shes drop dead gorgeous and she knows it very arrogant and vicious in the ring she will draw heat. My question is where are all the talented babyface girls to challenge Maryse for the title. Now that that the #1 contender Michelle Mccool has turned heel where are all the babyface challengers you have to have a face and a heel for title matches IMPO. I think Gail Kim is a face girl thats coming to smackdown in 09.
Did anybody else notice that Michelle Mccool has her boyfriend the undertakers big white cross type of symbol on her top and on the lower part of her outfit. If she is working with him in being a heel she will be great Anybody got an idea what the new impressive move is she is coming out with soon after she was banned from using her wings of love reverse tiger driver/face buster
