Terrible, terrible news:
Jetta has announced her retirement from pro-wrestling effective June this year. And she never won the Tag Titles, bastards!

That is indeed terrible news if it's true.
Something kinda oh no!

Man, terrible news, was hoping for one last time for Jetta. At least Jetta & Lacey. What does this mean for The Homewrecking Crew, Rain wrestling more and more in Mexico, Lacey & Jetta's Retired? I hope this isn't the end.

I'm hoping against hope and rational reason that Jetta will make an unannounced appearance next weekend.

Why must the performers I love keep retiring? Sigh... I wish Jetta every possible happiness in her future because she has meant so very much to me, but from a purely selfish perspective I'm pretty heartbroken right now

We get to find out from some random Easter Sunday tweet. How nice.

OK - I was at the show tonight, so let me fill you in.
Jetta wrestled Nikki Storm for her home promotion of Triple X Wrestling in what was the second match out of a best of seven series and lost via pinfall when Storm held the tights in a roll-up. Afterwards she got on the mic and said that even though it's a best of seven, that was her last match in TXW as she wouldn't be taking any more bookings after June of this year. I spoke to her afterwards and her reasons vary from her having other life plans and nagging injuries.
Her final show in England will be on May 9 in Nottingham the day after the debut Pro Wrestling: EVE tapings; she has a show in Scotland after that and her final match will be in Belgium, of all places.
She hasn't said she'll never return - just that her days of taking regular bookings will be behind her after the summer.
****
As someone who's watched Jetta wrestle for the last four years from her original promotion of Midlands Professional Wrestling to Triple X Wrestling to ChickFight to World Association of Wrestling to SHIMMER: Women Athletes, I'm really sad to know that she's now tying up loose ends. She's one of the pioneers of a new generation of women's wrestling in the UK and - along with people like Eden Black - has increased the profile of British women wrestlers by competing in the US. Personally, it'll be a shame to see her move on with her life, but it must be pretty fulfilling for her to know that she's achieved pretty much everything that she was capable of doing in this business and has left behind a women's wrestling scene in the UK which is stronger, more vibrant and has a positive future ahead of it - and a large part of that is down to her hard work and dedication.
Cheers, Coventry's Loudest. You're awesome.

I might just have to go to what presumably will be the SWA show to see her farewell as I'm flying to London next week for Raw and can't afford to fly in two successive months to see her at Eve, even though I want to be there so much.

She should 'pass the torch' of her IHWC role to either Cat Power or Sassy Stephanie. IMO

Thanks Jetta! All the best in the future and hopefully you'll be back in the ring someday.

If it's true that she is retiring then I just want to say thank you for all the entertainment you've given us in your time in SHIMMER.

Gonna miss Jetta, wrestling as a whole won't be the same about her. Here's a piece I've written about Jetta's retirement for Red Hot Divas bit.ly/aG7xbT. I'm aware of the small typo in it. It's Fifth Year Festival, not Festive. D'oh!

She was quickly becoming my favorite Homewrecker. Lamentation.
