And shouldn't we bill it as an "Iron Maiden" match? That's awesome. I have no problem at all with Daizee and Knox wrestling for 60 minutes. If they can pull that off, and based on their past work I'm assuming they will, that'll be huge as far as seperating SHIMMER's "Women Athletes" from the mold of "diva wrestling" most people still see. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Thanks for the video!Daizee Haze has the right idea going up to the next level with Rebecca Knox. I hope the Iron Woman match is for 60 minutes like she wants it.Recently they cut it down to 30 minutes because alot of the wrestlers could not go 60 minutes and TV time.I liked the video and the cloths Daizee Haze was wearing. And I liked her ending about the smoke. For me its worth picking up 7 if it does go 60 minutes(just on this match alone) because its a real test showing what kind of shape both these girls are in plus their wrestling skills. And I might add they`re pretty goodlooking and also without the standout artificial operations(which sometimes leads to injury and get in their way) that most girls have now with WWE.

I can't watch it due to being in work, but that's a grand idea. 30 minutes? The challenge in the video is for 60 minutes.

Daizee will leave Knox unconcious in that ring after 60 minutes. Oh, how I wish I could be there.

I'm not sure if 60 minutes is a good idea unless they don't have matches for the second taping.
Either that, or tape the matches in a different order than they're going to be on the DVD to give them as much time to recover as possible.

Does anyone know if there's been a 60-minute Iron Woman match before? I know that Manami Toyota and Kyoko Inoue had a 60-minute draw, but I think that was just a normal match (I haven't gotten to see it yet - there's still so much joshi I want to get my hands on).

MARTINEZ vs. LUFISTO SIGNED FOR 10/22! ----------------------------------------------------------
A first time ever matchup has been signed for the SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES taping on 10/22 in Berwyn, IL, pitting the "Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez against "The First Lady of Hardcore" LuFisto!
Mercedes Martinez made a huge impact in SHIMMER from the very beginning on Volume 1 with a very physical, high impact 20 minute draw against Sara Del Rey. Martinez and Del Rey had a brutal rematch on Volume 5 as well, with the third match in the series promised to follow at some point in the future.
Canadian star LuFisto makes her SHIMMER debut on Volume 7, and wants to test herself against one of the hardest hitters on the roster in her first outing. Known for her willingness to participate in a variety of stipulation matches involving weapons, LuFisto is one of the toughest female wrestlers to be found anywhere in the world. As much as her body can absorb unbelivable amounts of punishment during the course of a match, LuFisto can also dish it out.
Can LuFisto score a huge victory in her debut against one of the top women on the U.S. independent circuit? We'll find out on 10/22 in Berwyn!
Reserve your tickets now by E-mailing shimmernews@yahoo.com with your name and how many tickets you'll need for your party. They will be held at the door to be purchased on the day of the show.

Very interesting matchmaking. Will LuFisto lose her debut match in SHIMMER, or will Martinez lose yet another one?

Only 2 matches announced so far, and this show sounds great. Mercedes/Lufisto should be ridiculously hard hitting, and a good counter point to the technical work we're sure to see in Haze/Knox.

I don`t know if Knox has accepted the 60 minute match with Haze yet.I hope a video comes out soon with a response by Knox wanting it or not wanting it.I sure would like to see it if one does come out because she does good video work(her shoot interview for example) besides wrestling. If she does want it,she better stay away from the pumpkin pie for awhile. The Mercedes/LuFisto match should be very interesting.LuFisto is into BodyBuilding also and thats a plus with this kind of sport.I don`t know if that will be enough against someone like Mercedes though. But my main girl & interest for Shimmer is Melissa Anderson and one tough lady wrestler(win or lose)and I am waiting to see who she will be up against.

Not sure how I feel about Haze vs Knox. Certainly has high potential to be great but i'm not 100% confident they can really pull off such a long match.
As far as I know, Haze has only wrestled past 30 mins once and Knox has never gone longer then that.
There's been tons of 60 min draws in joshi over the years and several iron man matches too but no, there has never been a 60 min iron man match in woman's wrestling. Closest being the Thunder Queen match but that was an 8 man tag with modified rules...

Unfortunately, it appears that Rebecca will not be accepting this challenge. She suffered a real life head injury in Germany that has resulted in her needing to cancel all of her dates through the end of the year. Source - www.rebeccaknox.net/
