Idea for a match at either SHIMMER or ROH

Because of these few things

The Danielson-Joe Feud
The Danielson-Sara Del Ray relationship
and the Mercedes Martinez-Del Ray feud in SHIMMER.

I got an idea for a match @ a ROH Show or SHIMMER Show

ROH/SHIMMER Mixed tag match
Danielson/Sara Del Ray Vs Joe/Mercedes Martinez

ROH are tryin to get mercedes back for a future show, this should be a great idea for her, it puts her in the main event with 2 of the best male wrestlers out there and her rival in Del Ray. and ROH should bring Sara Del Ray back as well, this would be a great match of mixed styles Del Ray & Danielson of similar styles, and Mercedes and Joe of similar styles.

Either ROH or SHIMMER should book this match to advance in both storylines of Joe/Danielson and Del Ray/Martinez

How about Mercedes Martinez VS Cheerleader Melissa! They've had some really good matches in recent months from coast to coast, so how about Shimmer giving them some matches against each other.

Having an intergender match would differ SHIMMER's purpose, even though its a great idea.

I'd like to see a Four-way; Del Ray vs Mercedes vs Rain vs Lacey

Maybe a rematch of sorts, I dont know.

Having an intergender match like that is a sort of optimistic dream match feel to it, but I don't know it would seem like it would create the same problem (actually criticism) the WWE had about fixing up women wrestlers with their male counterparts instead of own their own.

It could be a good idea but I think for it to go over well the crowd would need to be exposed to the women more own their own two legs before they're thrown in as "female versions of so-and-so".

Though it may disappoint some of you, the decision has been made that we will never do any intergender matches in SHIMMER. However, don't be surprised to see some of the SHIMMER women potentially involved in mixed tag team action on ROH shows in the future.

that's the reason why i also posted this on the Ring of Honor message board as well, and on that board, it's been gettin good press from what i know, some people would want to see it in ROH

I've got severely mixed feelings on that match. It's kind of cool, but when you've got a match like that you start to flirt with what is realistic and what isn't (even within the fake world of pro-wrestling) - and when you've got stuff that's really unrealistic, the fans can lose interest and/or turn on the match.

What I'm saying is - I love Sara Del Rey immensely, but I don't think I'd buy her for a minute being able to trade moves with Samoa Joe. I just don't. I neither want to see Joe sell for a woman, nor do I want to see Sara obliterated. Yes, you can do rules whereby it's men vs men and women vs women, but if you're doing that I'd rather you just did two separate matches which would allow the competitors to do their thing without interruption.

I'm all for more SHIMMER matches on ROH shows, but let's keep them separate. SHIMMER has made amazing strides changing people's preconceptions of women in wrestling, and the last thing I'd want would be for the ROH fans to turn on the women because they were shoehorned and were out of place in a marquee mens feud.
