It's also worth mentioning that the ROH "Supercard Of Honor" show was released today too, which featured the SHIMMER Six Way match featuring Lacey, Rain, Melissa, MsChif, Allison & Daizee.

Just got mine over here in the UK today, great service ROH.
Considering some of Shimmer's workers were missing it was a decent show. Cindy Rogers really stood out for me again, very seamless performer, who has a lot of energy, who should really be at the top end of the card.
Malia Hosaka looks in great shape, not sure about having her lose?
Cheerleader did some nice work with Shantelle Taylor, who gets an A for effort.
Good to finally see Rebecca Knox, seems to be incredibly technically sound. Alison Danger seems to be doing a good job of putting others over. Both workers told a good story in this one, nice heel turn in the match.
The best match was the Main Event, really good work by both women. I get the feeling Del Rey could have a good match in her sleep. I've really got to give praise to 'The Haze,' she's improved a hell of a lot since Volcano Girls. Also both girls were over with the crowd and are developing their characters well.

General thoughts on Shimmer Vol 3
Bad things My main complaint with this show is the production values.
- Alison Danger didn't do comentary on any of the matches to put over that she was preparing for her match w Knox. Don't really mind her being gone (though I do like her comentary) but I wish they'd have gotten someone to replace her (Bryce Remsburg, Eddie Kingston, Danny Daniels, Lacey, Rain, anyone really). As good as Prazak is, I still don't want to listen to just him for 2 hours straight.
- Big diffrence in the picture quality between cameras. Stuff shot from the ringside cam looks really clear/bright but the stuff shot from the hard cam on the stage looks noticably darker w kind of a weird brown tint to everything. On it's own neither is bad but it sucks when you're switching back and forth between them (this happens in a lot of indies and has always bothered me).
- Glare from the lights was really bad. I don't know if they were too bright or too close or what but everytime the lights above the ring were shown on camera the reflection would cause as many as 4 or 5 long white lines to go down the screen. It wasn't so bad in later on but this was super annoying in most of the early matches.
- During Lee vs Hosaka for about a minute you can still hear the commentary but the ring audio cuts out.
- All the focus was on hyping future matches and it would have been nice to see more stuff done to build up the current ones taking place on this show. Only match that got a video package was the main and the only promos were from Haze & Del Rey after their match talking about who they wanted to face in the future (Haze didn't seem bothered that she just lost her previous match).
Would have been nice, especially for those who hadn't seen the previous shows to see Melissa explain why she hates MsChif or hear Hosaka & Fyfe's reasons for teaming up (acording to a recent Fyfe interview they'd never teamed before coming to Shimmer)
- Would have liked to see a new design for the cover artwork (they only changed it slightly from previous editions)
(Elimination Match) Cindy Rogers vs Amber O'Neal vs Tiana Ringer
Maybe my least favotire match in the companies short history. No kind of flow or story to what they were doing with them just going out and hitting a bunch of stuff back and forth. Only went 7 mins and it felt poorly put together and rushed, not that I really wanted to see this go longer anyways.
Good things
The rest of the undercard was pretty good with no other bad matches.
Rain vs Nikki Roxx
Still don't know what to make of Nikki Roxx yet, she was good in her match vs Rain on this show and i've seen her in other decent matches but i've also seen her have some really average stuff too recently.
Lorelei Lee vs Malia Hosaka
My favorite of the undercard matches. Hosaka's great at playing the old school, loud mouth cheating heel and Lee has been really impressive in the little footage i've seen of her. In terms of an unknown wrestler making a name for themselves I really think Lorelei could be the break out star for the promotion if given the right opportunities. Seems like she'd match up well vs Haze, Knox or someone else with a lot of flashy offense.
Lexie Fyfe vs MsChif
Didn't like this as much as the previous match but it's still pretty good. The style Fyfe & Hosaka use works much better when they have a sympathetic babyface to work off of and this was fought as much more of an evenly matched back and forth contest.
Shantelle Taylor vs Cheerleader Melissa
Going in, I knew pretty much what to exspect from most of the matches but this was one of the two big unknowns on this card as I haven't seen a ton of Taylor yet. This ended up being a really great match, WAY better then I had hoped and completly made me a fan of Taylor's.
Much like Vol 1 whear all they hype went into Del Rey/Martinez & Lacey/Haze ignoring the really great Melissa vs MsChif match, all the hype for this show has been on Haze/Del Rey and Knox/Danger which is a shame as this really desrves to get more attention too.
Very hard fought match filled with basic mat work exchanges and simple strikes saving the bigger moves for the very end. A sort of low grade Genki vs Tamura match from NEO.
Allison Danger vs Rebecca Knox
The other big unknown match for me on this show. Danger vs Rain from Vol 2 left me with a lot of doubts about how good Danger would do in a match this long (23 mins). She ended up doing pretty well up until maybe the last 1 or 2 mins when she looked a bit gassed making her comeback. No big deal by then though since it had been a real good match up until that point anyways and a few weak looking moves at the end wouldn't be enough to drag it down. And for what it's worth, the move Knox used to win was more of a Michinoku Driver then a Falcon Arrow as has been reported.
Match was definatly the Rebecca Knox show but I wouldn't call it a total 100% carry job and Danger deserves a lot of credit for being able to hang in thear as well as she did.
Sara Del Rey vs Daizee Haze
Probably the most action packed match in Shimmer so far. Started out a little weak with them light heartidly trying to one up each other, playing to the crowd and doing a few comedy spots. Once they got serious around the 5 min mark though it turned into a great match with Del Rey tossing around and beating down Haze for a while and then a hot near fall sequence at the end. Real good crowd reaction throughout the match.
Overall, production problems aside, this was a real good show you should definatly try and go out of your way to see.
Much better then Vol 2 and pretty comparable to Vol 1, with 3 really good matches and a decent undercard.

Damn, I had almost forgotten about this so I ordered my copy only today! I am especially curious to see if Rebecca Knox is as good as everyone says....hopefully she'll make me forget the absence ( ) of Beth Phoenix and Lacey.

It was a Falcon Arrow flik but it just wasn't the normal height of the move.

Rebecca uses a variation of the falcon arrow with the leg cradled, sort of like a mix of a falcon arrow and a Michinoku driver. She just refers to it as her version of the falcon arrow.

Yeah, she used that move to finish her match against Blue Nikita last Saturday in Germany. Awesome move

I got the DVD yesterday and skipped right through to the Rebecca Knox vs. Allison Danger match (I have to find time between the World Cup matches to watch the rest of the show ;D), and I have to say that the first half of that match has some of the best technical wrestling on Shimmer so far. The second half is not quite as good, but the heel turn for Knox is done successfully. On a side note, Knox is easily one of the fittest and most naturally pretty female pro-wrestlers around...and no, I don't count women like Stacy Keibler as pro-wrestlers.
