the heel turn for Knox is done successfully. That was easily the single best worked injury I've ever seen. Normally I can spot worked injuries pretty easily, and I admit I was skeptical at first, but after hearing Knox's crying and sobbing I bought it hook, line, and sinker. Knox is an awesome awesome awesome heel and I just found out recently that she's only 19 years old. If she's this good at 19, she has an extremely bright future ahead of her as long as she's lucky enough to stay healthy.

The only thing I didn't like was the pop she get when the fans realized she had fooled the crowd. Guys, seriously, she's ****ing all over you. Why pop for that? You boo idiots.

Because indie fans cheer for good performances as opposed to always cheering the "good guy" and booing the "bad guy". Pro wrestling is a performance. If you know it's "fake" then why do you treat it like it's real? Knox deserves an Oscar for her worked injury and that's why she got cheered. If someone wins an Oscar for Best Actor in a movie where they plays a villain, do you boo them on his way up to the stage and during his acceptance speech because they were a "bad guy" in the movie?

Wow, just....wow. When you go to an awards show and see an actor win for a portrayol it's AFTER the performance. Not during it. You don't go to see Richard III and start cheering the actor during the play because he happens to be playing the bad guy really well. You would look like a complete asshole. Just like those that cheered her did.

It's a spot that's been seen so much that even the markiest of marks can appreciate it. No matter how much I generally see it worked(probably nearly a dozen times at indy and WWE TV and house shows), that spot is generally always met with more cheers than jeers, mostly because it can be seen from a continent away and the majority like to see the gullible face get fooled. It didn't help that it was played out so well by Knox, who sold like she had a cancer ridden compound fracture, which made the turn all the much better and cheer worthy. It's just one of those things that is. That and I just can't find any reason to boo Knox, who is awesome on about a dozen different levels.

You don't go to see Richard III and start cheering the actor during the play because he happens to be playing the bad guy really well. You would look like a complete asshole. Just like those that cheered her did. At a theater play you'd look like an asshole for making any sort of noise during the performance because it's not like wrestling where the crowd is part of the show. That aside, if someone is doing an excellent job playing the bad guy in Richard III, I will of course remain quiet, but I will not quietly dislike the guy. If he's putting on a good performance I'll be saying silently to myself "This guy is doing a great job being a convincing jerk." And after the act is over, I will applaud along with the rest of the crowd. Knox's worked injury got applause because the fans didn't see it as Knox ****ing all over them. They saw it as the heel character of Rebecca Knox ****ing all over the character of Allison Danger. And yeah we all like Allison and everything but indie fans appreciate a good performance and they will applaud it when they see it. They don't take wrestling that personally because they know that the whole business is a work. They were applauding an actress playing her role extremely well. And you'll notice that they pretty much booed her the rest of the match, so that should've made you feel better. It's just that those worked injuries are always so easy to spot, and because that one was done exceptionally well, and because the entire audience totally bought it, they were cheering her to say "Yeah you got us, good one." There is no hard and fast rule that says that when you go to a wrestling show you must always boo the bad guys, nor should there be. Wrestling shows are a forum where anyone can cheer and boo whoever they want. Everyone has the right to think for themselves. Are they hurting you on a personal level in some way by not booing Knox? The bottom line is that indie fans care more about good performances than they do about who is "good" and who is "bad". If you want to be around a large number of people who all cheer and boo the "correct" way, go to a WWE show. You're not going to get that at an indie show from indie fans. No way.

The fans started chanting "What a bitch" at her when it happened. If any cheered, it wasn't for very long.

The only thing I didn't like was the pop she get when the fans realized she had fooled the crowd. Guys, seriously, she's ****ing all over you. Why pop for that? You boo idiots. Umm...I was at the event live. They weren't cheering for her after her heel turn. Everybody just sorta yelled out, simaltaneously "aw HELLLL NOOOO!!!". We all let out a sound of awe, because after her performance, we all thought she REALLY was hurt...I know I did. Some people clapped, but come on...that was the best phony injury performance I've ever seen in wrestling. She got TONS of heat after the turn, which really helped make the match since the crowd wasn't into it as much before the turn. Of course, there was like a handfull of fans (like maybe 6 or 7) who cheered all the heels all night long, but if they want to go against the grain that's their problem, since 90% of their pro-heel chants were drowned out by pro-face chants. Oh, and BTW...people can cheer whoever they want. I've always been a heel lover myself (though I boo them at live events just to see them play off of it) so don't call folks who cheer heels "idiots". They paid their money and can cheer and boo whoever they want.

is it just my copy, or does the audio cut out several times (the commentary is fine though) during the Lorelei Lee/Malia Hosaka match?

Nope mine does as well. The production values overall (that sound mixup, the lighting, the solo commentary) seemed like a step backward from the first 2 volumes. I know they had a video screen and everything for Volume 5+6, so hopefully things are better for those.

Picked this up at the ROH show this weekend. This was my first shimmer dvd and the matches were pretty good. Now, I must own Vol. 1 and 2.
