Additionally, Japanese star Mika Nishio, with whom several of the SHIMMER women have competed in recent years, suffered a potentially serious injury during a match on 4/30. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nishio during this very difficult time.

Nishio Mika
Current mood: sympathetic

Well, for all of you who are wondering how I'm doing, I'm fine. But my Zenjo sister Nishio Mika is not. She was injured in a wrestling match yesterday (4/30) and broke her back, injuring her spine. She has undergone an apparent successful operation and should be able to walk after some rehabilitation. Prayers to her and her family. I was the next match on the card and it was very difficult to focus while wondering if she was ok. All of us zenjo-ites were at the hospital immediately following the show. It was a surreal experience and one can only pray for her speedy recovery.
