I'm in Tampa right now for several days of ROH production, and we just got done screening the final edit of SHIMMER Volume 3. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, given the negative factors we had to deal with going into that hectic day (partially due to the blizzard stranding several wrestlers on the east coast).
As I've noted previously, I view Allison Danger vs. Rebecca Knox as the best match of Alli's career, and for those who have their doubts about her improvement as a wrestler over the course of the past year or so, you may be quite surprised when you see this match. At the end of the 2/12 taping, I pulled Rebecca aside and thanked her for her hard work that evening, and told her that no matter what, she's on every show we do from this point forward. She really broke out as a star for us on that night, and has a tremendous future in this business.
Sara Del Rey and Daizee Haze also turned things up several notches in their main event match on the Volume 3 release, in a true main event level contest that really brought out both wrestlers' strengths.
I was also very pleased with Nikki Roxx's progression with each Volume of SHIMMER we've filmed thus far. She keeps topping her previous outings, had a solid opener against Rain on Volume 3, and we're giving her the ball to run with on 5/21 against Amazing Kong.
I can't wait to hear feedback from the fans on the effort put forth by all of the SHIMMER women who appeared at the 2/12 taping, and even moreso, I look forward to each of them trying to top their previous performances come 5/21.
Volume 3 is set to be released by ROHwrestling.com by the third week of May, and we'll have copies available on 5/21 in Berwyn as well.
