It's Easter, I'm off work and I've got some time on my hands - so I started thinking what matches I'd like to see at the Vol 5 & 6 taping next month.
I'm assuming all the available major players from Vol 1-4 will be there (apart from Beth & Krissy, of course), and I'm taking the liberty of adding Nattie Neidhart as a new face. This is primarily because I'd love to see a rematch of the Neidhart vs Melissa match from SuperGirls Vol 1, but also because I think she'd fit in with the SHIMMER style very well - not to mention the fact that her surname alone may entice some new fans to throw down a few dollars when the DVD is released. (Remember, I only bought Vol 1 on the basis that I wanted to see Beth Phoenix wrestle - so I'm sure there are a bunch of people who might be interested in seeing "The Anvil"'s daughter and get converted to the cause.)
Anyway...
For Vol 5
Rebecca Knox vs MsChif - I can see this going like the MsChif vs Beth Phoenix match from Vol 2, with Knox getting freaked out by MsChif's weirdness - but still using her K-Nox shenanigans to pull out a tainted victory.
Tiana Ringer vs Daizee Haze - Pretty standard face vs heel match, which I'd have ending with a no contest of some kind. Tiana would lay down a beating on Daizee after the bell, and Daizee would challenge Tiana for a "Pick your partner" tag match for Vol 6
Minnesota Homewrecking Crew vs Allison Danger & Shantelle Taylor - The Crew's challenge for the Vol 3/4 taping didn't get followed up on because of Lacey's travel problems, so I'd have Allison & Shantelle be the surprise challengers here, and pick up the popular win.
Cheerleader Melissa vs Nattie Neidhart - Rematch from SuperGirls Vol 1, where the two put on a very SHIMMER-esque match. Nattie was very impressive taking it to Melissa, dominating most of the match, and hitting stuff like a suplex on a wooden floor. Interference from Belle Lovitz on that match led to Melissa tapping to Neidhart's sharpshooter, so I'd love to see a good hard-hitting rematch with Melissa winning.
Mercedes Martinez vs Sara Del Rey - The no time limit rematch from their classic on Vol 1. Best to put it on the Vol 5 rather than Vol 6 taping since both girls will be fresh and no doubt desperate to make this match even better. I don't even want to pick a winner.
For Vol 6
Tiana Ringer & Nattie Neidhart vs Daizee Haze & Shantelle Taylor - this is the "pick your partner" match. I think Tiana and Nattie would complement each other's styles very well, and it would make sense for Daizee to pick the person who knows Tiana better than anyone else. I'd have Shantelle once again beat Tiana, leading to Tiana throwing a fit in the ring afterwards.
Sara Del Rey vs Rain - Rematch from Vol 4 taping, I believe. To be honest, these two were the left over two once I'd booked everyone else - but I have the idea they could have a cracking match against each other, certainly on the basis of Rain's brilliant performance agaisnt Allison on Vol 2. Not sure who won the first match, so I'm not sure who should go over here.
Allison Danger vs Rebecca Knox - Allison gets her chance at revenge against Rebecca after their disputed match at Vol 3. Presumably Allison gets her win back, unless the feud is going to go on.
Lacey vs MsChif vs Mercedes Martinez vs Cheerleader Melissa - as suggested by mercedesmartinez1 elsewhere on this board, an elimination style four way match between the four semi-finalists of Chick Fight IV from this past weekend.
The undercard can be fleshed out with the likes of Ariel, Nikki Roxx, Lexie Fyfe, Malia Hosaka, Lorelei Lee, Cindy Rogers and possibly the new version of Team Blondage.
So - that's just my suggestion. Anyone any thoughts on what I've posted, or anyone have any even better ideas? I'm sure DP has his own ideas already worked out well in advance, but you never know, right? In any event, it's an interesting bit of audience research.
