Hey. First post here. ;D
After having been bowled over by SHIMMER Vol 1 (and I believe Dave posted a link to the review I wrote for Figure Four Weekly Online a while back), I've been very keen to see more of these girls as I wait for the release of Vol 2.
I'm hoping to get the IWA-MS Volcano Girls tournament soon, which I'm looking forward to, and I just wondered whether there was any thought being given to the idea of turning the Volcano Girls tournament concept into an annual SHIMMER thing. I know I'd like the idea of a 2006 VG tourney. What about it, Dave?
Quarter finals on one show, semi finals and finals on the next one? Maybe an idea for Vols 5 & 6?

I'm not Dave, but SHIMMER and IWA-MS are two complete different organizations. IWA-MS was going to have Volcano Girls 2: Baddest Bitch of all the Land earlier this year. It was going to be a 2 night 16 woman tournament, but it was postponed because the building they were going to use was no longer available for them. Although the concept of a one night SHIMMER tournament two DVD release would be great.

I'm not Dave, but SHIMMER and IWA-MS are two complete different organizations. IWA-MS was going to have Volcano Girls 2: Baddest pregnant dog of all the Land earlier this year. It was going to be a 2 night 16 woman tournament, but it was postponed because the building they were going to use was no longer available for them. Although the concept of a one night SHIMMER tournament two DVD release would be great. Ah, I see. I don't watch or follow IWA-MS at all (although I'm well aware they've no direct connection to SHIMMER), so I had no idea there were any plans for them to run a second VG show. I'd been working under the (perhaps) misapprehension that without D.P. there, the womens division of IWA-MS had been pushed to the back burner. Certainly the idea of an '06 Volcano Girls tournament being hosted in SHIMMER would make sense to me - even if just for the Veruca Salt connection, eh?

No that's pretty much correct.
At this point they're women's division only seems to exist to give Mickie Knuckles something to do and these days they aren't even using her more then a couple times a month.
Can't think of the last time they had more then 1 woman's match on their shows and have a harder time thinking of the last time they booked a woman's match that didn't involve Micke.
They gave Hailey Hatred they're woman's title a few months back and then never used her again on any IWA MS shows so Knuckles had to win the belt back on another promotions show.
yeah, they were also going to run a regular men's show the night before.
They found a new building on short notice but could only get it for 1 day so when given the choice, they decided not to do the woman's show.
