Well, somebody has to be the prick to ask questions, so I guess I will volunteer. Since the 49 & 50 DVD shipping date was scheduled as "Mid March", I will ask seeing as it is now late March when we can expect our pre-order to be shipped? No pressure, but I've been anxious to see these shows for 6 months now, and since I've got the first two pre-ordered, I would at least like an estimate. What do y'all have for me?

It has been posted the past few days on Twitter and Facebook that they ship next week.

49 & 50 arrived in today's mail. What an Easter treat! And Dave, I see a new option in the menu.. "Commentary On/Off."My reaction: Thanks, no april foolin'!!! Will this be a recurring feature on future volumes?

I think he said before that it will be. It's a feature some have asked for, though one I'll not be using.

Often requested? "I love your DVDs Dave. Except you. You suck. Make it so I can't hear you."
*Approximation.

Okay by often requested I really meant "one person" but I didn't want to single anybody out! It's not a bad idea if you enjoy hearing the crowd chants (though they sound very muted recently compared to previous volumes for some reason), but I'm watching Femme Fatales Vol 1 and the lack of commentary takes some enjoyment from it imo.. Well that and the highly annoying camera crew who can't hold them steady and keep leaping about and climbing onto the apron or into the ring. (Please tell that isn't so bad on the later ones?)

The FF camerawork has got better over time, but yeah those first couple were really annoying.

Fun show - the tag title match, Hamada/Kalamity and Bates/Skater were the best matches. I liked Saraya/Athena, but it did plod along, and could have benefited from five minutes being shaved off it. An overall consistently good show, a nice introduction to that particular weekend.
As for commentary, the highlight was Portia blatantly (even admitting it) reading Wikipedia verbatim during the Von Eerie/Ohka match.

I also loved Portia explaining what 'Oi' means, guess it's not a word used in the States.

Well 'oi' is more agressive than 'hey'. If someone is running off something from your shop 'Oi!' is the perfect word to use. Or to use jokingly when a mate steals one of your chips, 'Oi, cheeky!'
