I haven't seen a thread for Mena Libra so I thought I would start it. In my opinion she's a great talent, a good powerhouse heel, and after meeting her after the last shimmer show I was at she's a very nice person too. Also I am a bit of a Luddite and as such posting pics is not one of my strong suits so if someone else could post images of her here it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I agree. Her match with Courtney Rush made both of them. The fact that she took those suplexes showed how tough she was. Her look paints her as something of a bruiser as well, and it's something that you don't see very often with women wrestlers - that Mickie Knuckles-esque aura of solidity. That she's also been working with MsChif in AAW for the last year or so has also been a great validation for how good she is.
Funny story. Mena thought I was putting on my British accent the last time we had a face to face chat. Very nice woman.

Big fan of Libre, she's progressed quite a bit & I see big things in her future. Her match with Courtney Rush on Volume 37 was great stuff.

I liked what I saw of her in Sept 2010, and she was a very lovely woman outside the ring as well. But both her and Courtney made me fans when they hooked up in April. Mena's toughness and bruiser qualities make her a great heel in SHIMMER, plus her Ambassador Bridge is an impressive finisher. The fact she's been working with MsChif in AAW can only make her even better.

She's much too nice outside of the ring to be so mean inside of it.

Very impressed with Mena's work on Volumes 37 and 39, plus matches of hers that I've seen on Youtube. Also saw a very funny promo where she impersonates Truth Martini perfectly. Looking forward to seeing her work on the new volumes.

The two of them made a great team for vol 41-42.

The two of them made a great team for vol 41-42. Agreed. They're a very intimidating duo. Give them a few cool/mean tag-team moves and they can be very over.

Sad to hear she left wrestling, but I'm sure she had good reasons.
What I see in women's wrestling on the tv is a bunch of performers who have a very similar body type (with maybe one "bigger" wrestler to be a threat). I'm glad Shimmer seems to have gathered many different types. I liked how Mena Libra and Melanie Cruise were presented, but it seemed like they turned into goofballs and cowards once the fight was actually on. I realize that's kind of a heel cliche, but I was hoping for more of a threatening "big" team like an undertaker & kane combo. Maybe in the future?

It defiantly does suck because Mena could've been a candidate for the most underrated Shimmer star but I think she's a mother, which is freaking awesome, and I'm sure she's still with Tommy Treznik from CLASH Wrestling. I thought they could've been like a Female Natural Disasters; I seriously can't imagine Mena and Melanie as goofballs but what kind of goofy were they, a Edge & Christian goofy where they were funny but you still took them as serious threats in the ring or were they 3MB levels of goofy? I personally would've had Melanie and Mena as like a version of the heel Mark Henry. Just two big built powerhouses who trash-talked and slapped people around for fun, they could've scored some victories over Shimmer Tag Teams and it would've been even better if things had worked out differently with other commitments because a Mena and Melanie vs. 3G feud would be quite old-school with the monster heel team vs. the plucky babyface team but it could work a treat.
