For in ring effort and overall performances by most of the roster, I liked Bellatrix 6. Such a shame that the volume was so low, the feed buffered at times, and the refereeing... OH GOD THE REFEREEING. Jimmy Ocean in particular. I know he's done a lot for WAW over many years, and he should rightly be commended, but in no way should he be a referee, let alone their main one. He blew a heck of a lot of stuff during the show, nothing more than the FINISH OF THE MAIN EVENT, which was quite clearly a two count. Shanna kicked out. The best thing to do at that point is improvise, have Liberty hit something else on her and then beat her, but no, there was mass confusion over what the heck just happened, and the match... just ended. What a damp squib, and it sure as hell doesn't get Liberty over one bit. I'd love Liberty and Shanna to rematch somewhere else, or in Bellatrix with another referee, and let them have the finish to justify the really good match they were having.
As for the rest of the show, I liked Saraya/Jacob, O'Reilly/Angel and Mina/Storm. Alpha Female and Penelope were having a really good match too, and then we got some bizarre booking with Destiny that, once again, didn't get Penelope over for winning.
The first SHIMMER name for Bellatrix 7 on October 6th is Bellatrix World Champion Courtney Rush. Eager to see who joins her. Hopefully by the time she comes, Bellatrix have better referees. Heck, pay for a plane ticket for Bryce Remsburg.

I'm so mad. The event started 20 minutes early and I had to finish vacuuming then race to the computer to order it. I missed the first match but as it turned out, I didn't get to see ANY of the show aside from the last two matches (and Saraya/Carmel buffered in spots so it wasn't flawless like the main event). It would start, then stop, buffer, go to black, stop completely; I'd refresh, and the same damn thing happened over and over again. It wasn't my internet either, I had nothing else running to interfere, I double checked the connection, kept refreshing and still nothing. Now I know how ROH fans feel - seriously, I buy SHINE every month from WWNLive and NEVER have the problems I had today. Granted it's only $15 but I pay $24.99 each month for SHINE and always get my money's worth.
And the referring I DID see was horrid. Jimmy Ocean, I don't know anything about him, but I do know he should not be a referee. He's out of shape, slow, and messed up the main event finish - which was a travesty given Liberty and Shanna was really good. Can't tell you anything about the rest of the show as I couldn't see it (although it did pause during Destiny's match and she needs proper gear).
I am terribly disappointed. If the SHIMMER/Bellatrix show in October is on iPPV, I have serious doubts about buying it. Granted, I'm going to GNO, but I was still going to order it to support the companies. After this though...just terrible.

In defence of Jimmy Ocean the shoulders were clearly down twice for a three count the whole crowd see it and responded to it, we were there live, so he was going to look foolish either way, if a wrestler does not get their shoulders up before a three count they are out, simple as.

I'm glad others have concerns about the referees as I thought exactly the same. Another instance was at least one (possibly both!) of Alpha Female's shoulders being off the mat when she was pinned...
As for attending the shows, since the days of WAWW in Costessy, the product has improved massively as a whole - especially the new venue, and Zack an MC is definitely a great idea.
A note for traveling fans (this may be rectified by the fact there are front row tickets for the Shimmer/Bellatrix show) - considering there is a group of us paying something in the region of £100 each (and taking time off work on Monday) for travel, hotel and show tickets, its quite frustrating to have people with a wristband they've been given for free jump past us in the queue. Luckily, I managed to get in and throw my bag on some front row seats for the others I was with, but if we'd missed out after paying all that money, it would be hard justifying that money to come back.
As for the card: The addition of all the Scottish girls, Shanna and Alpha was very welcome - some fresh faces opens up a whole new possibility of matches now, not to mention the imports who will be there in October too.

ok couple of things if they had wrist bands and were in front row they purchased them the night before and even though they were free for BX They paid 15 pounds the night before as part of a package, so their seats were justified.TBH Most front row were from night before and not many were paid for pre or on night, so there was never a doubt everyone would get a seat. For BX V Shimmer, ringside will only be available for the one night at 20 pounds with free t shirt, program early entry meet and greet as part of the package. The ticket packaging has been a winner and has seen crowds rise from 40 to about 250 plus and is this not what we want That said Bellatrix is a growing company mistakes will be made in ring, backstage, front of house, IPPV as a learning curve but as i said earlier each show is better than the last so that is a good sign.

On Saturday, I'll be at IPW:UK Ferocious Females, which will feature Bellatrix stars Saraya Knight, Rhia O'Reilly, Liberty and Penelope. Have a feeling whoever Saraya challenges will also be from there.

...And yeah, I agree - its a much better atmosphere at the Bellatrix shows with so much more people there. Please just keep the front row tickets from now on so we can guarantee them!

The women of Bellatrix represented themselves really well at IPW:UK this afternoon. We got the grumpy peed off version of Saraya Knight today, guess she's only happy when she's home. She brutalised Sakura Lily for a good ten minutes plus, and then showed her respect for hanging in there for as long as she could. She even threatened pain to both myself and Ben, but we got away quick after the show before she remembered to come find us.
Rhia O'Reilly was as good as she always is, having a solid opening match with Penelope, and then a really good main event with Liberty. Of the Knight trainees, not including O'Reilly, I prefer Liberty as a worker at this point. She sells well, is getting her facial expressions down, and she throws one heck of a stiff clothesline. There was a point in the main event where she accidentally got the top of Rhia's head with it, and I was concerned for a bit that Rhia may have got really hurt off it. Anyway, give Liberty another year or so, and I think she'll be good enough for SHIMMER.
Penelope was good too, but she's not been wrestling as long as Liberty has, and just needs a bit more fine tuning. She was far better than the trainees who wrestled on the show, though. Some of their stuff was pretty crummy to watch.
