Would u recommend flying or driving from the Philly area? Fly, fly, fly, for the love of god fly. You're looking at 13 hours of drive time otherwise. I don't know if you're different, but that's just too much for me. This. I don't even live in the US, but when I see how you lot treat catching a plane like waiting for a bus, I'd fly everywhere. I'd fly to the 7-Eleven for a bottle of milk if I could.

You'd fly to 7-Eleven for a Coke Slurpee or nothing at all. And YES fly for the love of pete. That's a 12-13 hour drive. I drove from Louisville to Berwyn, a 5 hour drive and damn it got on my nerves at times. Indiana is too damn long of a state.

I got that sense last time I drove up from north Alabama (~10 hours) That stretch of 65 between Indianapolis and Chicagoland is really chock full of nothing. Getting a speeding ticket in south Indianapolis probably didn't help.

Driving's not so bad, as long as you have travel companions who don't sleep the entire way.

Actually made that drive solo, with sanity mostly intact. Didn't think it was too bad, but I've always been something of a loner. Going to repeat that going to this set of tapings rather that fly from Nashville and subject myself to the TSA show, but this time equipped with an overnight stopover part of the way along and satellite radio in the car.

I40 between Nashville and Memphis can get dreary, especially in the winter. It's more tolerable when the cotton is in bloom.

The few times I did it, I was pleasantly surprised by how quick that stretch of 40 goes by. I stopped off in Jackson, maybe that helped break it up. I really like 65 in Tennessee, especially when it gets cold and icicles form on the rockwalls left from where they cut through the hills to build the highway... until you get to Route 840, then it's road rage central for the next forty miles.

I'm fairly sure they can't deny you a state ID card. A drivers license, sure. But not a state ID card, which all that is required to fly.

Two spots have opened up in my car. If you still need a ride, I can help you out, provided you're in town by Friday night, and are attending both afterparties (and in the case of the second night, staying all the way to the end!)
