Here's the regular "If you haven't been to Kuma's you haven't been to Chicago/eaten a hamburger/ever been metal," plug.
You may even spot chowing on a Neurosis, sans bread.

Just know that unless you're CM Punk you will likely have a very long wait to get into Kuma's. Once in a while you can get lucky (try to get there when it opens), but on weekends the wait can get up to 2 hours or more.

Yeah, don't wait until you're hungry to go. Wait is worth it though.

Anybody know a good sushi place in Chicagoland?
I've been on a real sushi kick lately, and I have a feeling I'm not going to get through SHIMMER weekend without having some.

If money is no object, try L20. If money is only slightly an object, try Takashi If money is kind of an object but not terribly so, try Katsu or Coast.

Thanks, Spiffie!
Also, if anybody is like me and is driving up on I-55, I suggest stopping for lunch/dinner/whatever in Dwight, Illinois at a place called Pete's. It's a good little diner with some Greek specialties thanks to the owner's heritage.

For those interested, on the day after SHIMMER, Raw will be at the nearby Allstate Arena in Rosemont. If anyone was coming for the SHIMMER/WrestleMania doubleshot, there's another event for you. For the rest, the choice is pitchforks or torches.

I've heard a few good things about Bodhi Thai Bistro in Berwyn. bodhithaibistro.com/Bodhi_Thai_Bistro/bodhi_thai_bistro.htmlFor Indian food you'd probably want to head into Oak Park (next town to the north of Berwyn), as they have a few spots. You can flip a coin between Klay Oven and Khyber Pass.

I've stayed at the Rodeway five times and I've still never been to the one 5 minutes walk away. I must resolve this on trip six.
