Fair point. I hate "reviews" where people describe every single move, but don't offer any sene of opinion on it. How is that even a review?! It's not. It's a recap, some people (and I'm not singling anyone out in this thread or forum when I say that, I just speaking generally here) don't know the difference. Very well put.

Just for the record I wasn't having a pop, I just thought the Wesna and IHWC matches were better and worse, respectively, than mc did. Like I said I don't even do ratings myself; I dare say I wouldn't know a "***3/4" match if it bit me. I just rate something as whether I liked it or not or whether I thought it was good or not.
That being said, DUDs or ***** matches are like pornography: I know it when I see it ;D

I've never understood why time elapsed in a match has ever been listed among the criteria for the number of stars given to a match. Not every match has to be a 6 hour long war like Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt had back in 1915, just to be considered a decent match. I'm kinda a quality over quantity sort who says that what you do in the time you're allotted in the ring is infinitly more important than how much time you're given to operate in.

While a match doesn't need to be 45 minutes plus to be awesome, it's very hard to tell a great story in 7 minutes.

While a match doesn't need to be 45 minutes plus to be awesome, it's very hard to tell a great story in 7 minutes. A lot of old Georgia and Florida matches were 6-7 minutes in length and told great stories. The 20 minute plus minimum for great storytelling was perpetrated by Flair, Dusty and Race. .and other top guys on NWA cards like the Funk and Brisco. It's not really needed. You can tell a story in 7 minutes. A great one too. How else did the under card get over and move up? I ran across some good short matches with a young Kevin Sullivan that changed my mind about how much time you need to tell a story. www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8tR3emDxgU (Sullivan v. Steve Keirn: both pre-stardom) Things are too rushed nowadays, everyone wants their instant gratification so time for matches and story telling falls to the wayside for quick fixes.

I'm watching this ow and I have to ask ... what's the deal with DP and Portia's reaction to a kick to the face? Did I miss something?

One more thing about 24: to my surprise I found myself supporting Jennifer Blake like never before in her match with Amber O'Neal. God bless her, how Jennifer managed to remain professional is beyond me because Amber was a f*cking disgrace. I think I got a different copy of the DVD because I just finished watching it and I thought the match was great (felt the same when I saw it live). Amber breaking out a knee bar and some other awesome sub, lots of attitude, and the best superkick ever. I give it a @#*! and 3/4 ^.

Question: was it shorter than you remembered live? I only ask because I wasn't there and it seemed like there were a couple of jump cuts on the DVD.

Say whaaaa?
Okay, I've heard of some bits before and after being edited out of matches in Shimmer, but never bits of matches themselves. Any other examples of this I have missed?
I do not support this. That doesn't matter, but even so...

in the end of the main event match, when melissa did the crossbody to kong on the outside and kong catched her, did melissa dive from the top rop or from the apron?
bcz there where no replays , and we only saw kong catching melissa diving
