TNA has let two of the best promo men in the business go. Not only did they not re-sign Raven to a full time deal, but I still can't get over how they could let Jim Mitchell slip away. He gives any heel wrestler instant credibility. That man is gold on the mic.

I'm not sure why they would bring Raven & Shane Douglas back for a cup of coffee and a PPV payoff when maybe they should work harder at putting their regulars over. Like a lot of stuff they do, it's a real head scratcher.

Shane got hurt in his PPV match with Christopher Daniels, so he may be liability. Raven and Mitchell, hell, I think those guys should have been kept around if for nothing else because of their promo work and their wisdom. I'm not saying you have to put them over at the expense of the regulars.

I really hope TNA does an all Knockout show. Even if it is a one time only special. I'm sure ratings will be the highest TNA has seen so far. Kim

^^That would be awesome. ...You didn't know about Mitchell? Nope. The only thing I look at wrestling related on the internet is this board and the joshi board. edit- because internet thought herding ruins wrestling for me. But that sucks.

Raven and Douglas were brought in to match the theme of the last PPV which was the stars of TNA past up against the stars of TNA present. It didn't quite work out too well though as Daniels and Abyss go back in TNA just as far as Raven and Douglas do. The only match were that tagline did make sense was Sting vs Morgan.
Raven was also probably brought back in so they could stretch out the Stevie vs Abyss feud without having them two wrestle yet.

That angle doesn't need to be stretched out. It needs to be ditched and Abyss needs to disappear for six months.

Yeah the feud has been going on a bit long, as does every Abyss feud really. But there needs to be a PPV blow-off match before they can go on to different things..... though what they could go on to do I have no idea. Abyss is the most stale character ever and was ruined back during the horrible Sting feud and that terrible storyline with James Mitchell.
Some time off might be the best thing for Abyss.

As evidenced by this thread even the avid people don't relate to eras of Mitchell or Sting vs Abyss. TNA has the highest ratings and most profitable year to date. Why anyone questions their methods can be left to question if they also wish them changes in their success. If you find Abyss stale, I would like to see how you think of Booker T's collection of dialects unleashed without reason on different episodes of iMPACT. The Beautiful People had a dressing room, then a luxury room from Booker, cut people's hair for free multiple times on television and do little to backup these actions on paid shows. Stale? I am not saying that you are obligated by some plane of reason to feel as impressed with Abyss having Stevie, Daffney, Raven, Lauren, Matt in the mix. I would just like to know why angles like Jarrett who had been fighting against the odds to enjoy his stay in his own company for 7 years wasn't a good reason to turn the shows on late and off early for you a long time ago. Depending on your pleasure there's a good chance the YouTube channel is the best way to enjoy watching TNA and the Knockouts grow with having to endure the smell of what they use for fertilizer.

...the YouTube channel is the best way to enjoy watching TNA... Some people have stated that as the case for some time now... going back to late 2007.
