My name is Prisca I've been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember. I heard about Shimmer in 2006 when a few of my friends told me if I liked ROH I should look into this company. Definitely a huge fan and have been for awhile. Looking forward to see where Shimmer goes from here.

Hi all, been a fan of Shimmer for four years now. Hoping to attend a live taping either this year or next.
Can anybody recommend the best hotels and airport nearest to the Berwyn Eagles Club?

Hi, new member, got my start reading the Diva and Knockout threads from page one, and started getting interested in Shimmer that way.

Hey i'm Alex.
I started following the SHIMMER (and indy wrestling in general) last year.
The first show I bought was vol. 32. I bought it during one of the sales that the ROH store always has.
I currently own 10 shows and just ordered vol. 31 directly from SHIMMER and am waiting for that to arrive in the mail.
I like pro wrestling. What else is there to say?

Hi, my name is Andrew. I often go by Hunter online.
I live in Indianapolis and have been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember. I have heard about SHIMMER from different message boards. I recently ordered volumes 1 and 2, I liked what I saw and would like to order more. Living so close to where the shows are taped I would like to go to the tapings. I'll have to sit out the Oct. tapings since I don't have any more vacation days. But I should have some more saved up by the next ones.

My name is James. Just got into SHIMMER and really liking what I've seen. Know some of the women from other promotions which led me to here. Too bad I live in Vegas otherwise I'd go to a taping or two here and there. Maybe in the future when I have more money. Anyway looking forward to keeping up with SHIMMER action.

Hi, everyone! Let me introduce myself...
I've been a fan of pro wrestling ever since my brother (with the aid of The Four Horsemen) got me hooked on it in the mid '80s, but I've lost interest in the WWE over the past ten years and only follow it casually through the Wrestling Observer. The HHH/John Cena eras weren't my idea of wrestling and just did me in. I like ROH and attended shows in the Boston area during the reign of Takeshi Morishima. All of those shows were great, and ROH as a live experience blows away anything WWE has to offer.
My main interest is MMA, which I followed off and on from the first UFC, but didn't become a hardcore fan of until discovering Pride and Kazushi Sakuraba. Pride was an amazing spectacle and the greatest thing I've ever seen, and for those of you unfamiliar with the career of Sakuraba, you missed out on something that was truly magical and legendary. It was a sad day for me when Pride folded but luckily I found a new obsession... SHIMMER!
What a great company this is! Beautiful women, great matches and logical booking that doesn't insult your intelligence. And what a concept it is having heels who can beat the babyfaces clean because they're bad ass wrestlers and not cowardly weaklings who can only win by cheating.
I'd also like to mention the great selling by Jessie McKay in her challenge of Madison Eagles on Vol. 35. It seems like the selling of an injury is a lost art these days when a wrestler is only hurt until their comeback, where by some kind of miracle... they're not hurt anymore! Jessie sold her knee the entire time with everything she did coming across as a major struggle, and it added a level of realism missing from most matches now. Anyone interested in becoming a great wrestler like her needs to watch this match and learn from it. Total respect.
I knew about SHIMMER for some time through ROH but didn't start watching it until about two years ago. I own volumes 17 - present, and my favorite wrestlers are Portia Perez (sorry, Allison!), Madison Eagles and Cheerleader Melissa with an honorable mention going out to the indestructible one, "The Rate Tank" Kellie Skater.
So if MMA is my primary distraction from life's miseries then SHIMMER isn't far behind. Thank you for bringing back my love of wrestling, SHIMMER!
One last thing: This is about forums in general. Posters who feel the need to refer to a woman as a whore, ho, slut, etc. are losers who deserve to be "curb stomped." It's easy to trash talk when you don't have to pay for it. I have nothing but the highest respect for the extraordinary women who compete in pro wrestling and MMA. You are all amazing.

Greetings! My name, is Mariela. 18 years old. Born in England, but now livin' in New York. I've been a fan of wrestling since I was 6. How I found out about SHIMMER? 3 years ago, I was random surfing on the web and talking to a friend of mine over instant messenger. She knew that I'm in love with women's wrestling. So she told me about SHIMMER, sent me a link to the website and had me borrow a few of the volumes she ordered before. At first, I thought it would be like one of those regular female matches that you see in WWE (which I don't watch anymore nor TNA. Really lost interest since it feels like the same thing over and over again) And I remember, just how wonderful these women are in their matches. But the first two women I laid eyes on, was Mercedes Martinez and Allison Danger - who I consider my heroes of course. They sure did some awesome moves and kickarse matches, I don't mean only Martinez and Danger. I mean all the women that are in SHIMMER. I've never been to a SHIMMER show at all, but I do hope one day that I will. But I sure do I have a few of their volumes, still trying to get the rest of them. So I would like to thank a friend of mine for having me find out about SHIMMER and just be in love with it. :'D

Greetings!
I'm Nick from Appleton Wisconsin. I'm probably about a good 4 hour drive from Berwyn. Been a wrestling fan since I was about 3. I've always loved women's wrestling when it's done seriously. Made my first SHIMMER tapings way back when they taped the second round of DVDs. Been a while, but I've been following via DVD and the web site since. Making my glorious return this weekend and am absolutely thrilled about it.

Even though I have known about Shimmer for some time, I just joined the board the other day.
I am a sports rehab chiropractor and have worked for years in pro wrestling. I have done appx. 150 show for WWE a dozen or so for TNA, and that number is growing quickly, 50 or 60 for Harley Races WLW, and hundreds for the old WCW. I have even treated some of the talent from GLOW and NOAH. I'll also be at Harley Races Wrestling camp October 21 & 22 in Eldon, MO., with Kevin Von Erich, Rick Steamboat, and Steven Regal. I also have treated several in the UFC, MLB, and the NFL.
Believe me, I have some stories that will curl your hair, and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in pro wrestling. The good being riding to Sturgis with Goldberg and hanging with my best bud Kevin Nash. The bad is seeing all the deaths, and the ugly being drug and alcohol abuse. However, there is some great talent working all over the world, and great people as well.
If you have questions, I guess you can PM me on the board. I also look forward to working some Shimmer matches in the future, as several of the talents also work other promotions as well.
The best to all Dr. G 2 blackbelts
