SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES has entered a team of wrestlers into the CHIKARA Tag World Grand Prix, which will take place over the course of three nights later this month in Pennsylvania. Though not partners in SHIMMER competition, Daizee Haze and Rain will team up to represent SHIMMER and try to walk away with TWGP 2006 honors. Below is the press release issued by CHIKARA.

[TWGP2006] CHIKARA: Adding Toryumon stars and Team SHIMMER to the line up!
In a little more than 2 weeks the final edition of the senses-numbing Tag World Grand Prix will be here! From all over tarnation, 32 teams will converge on eastern Pennsylvania and vie for a pair of golden straps emblazoned with the words "CHIKARA Campeones de Parejas." Today, we've got two more teams to add to the obese lineup of the TWGP 2k6.
In short order, the SHIMMER promotion has become America's premiere female independent, and we're pleased to showcase two of the company's finest. Representing SHIMMER in the 2006 edition of the Tag World Grand Prix will be the truly lovely pairing of Rain and Daizee Haze. Daizee last appeared in a CHIKARA ring almost a year ago, while Rain makes her CHIKARA debut at the TWGP. Team SHIMMER is the third all-female team entered into the Tag World thus far.
Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon facility has produced three wrestlers all from the Arai family, dating back to 1998. The very first Tag World Grand Prix from 2003 saw Kochiro Arai make his way to the United States for the very first time. Since becoming a diciple of Jinsei "Hakushi" Shinzaki in Michinoku Pro, he has transformed into Shinjitsu Nohashi. His cousin, Chuichiro Arai will join him in this year's Tag World Grand Prix, in his new persona of Amigo Suzuki. Hey, we don't make this stuff up.
We regret to inform our fans that Team TNA, the duo of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are unable to attend the tournament. This is because they are weenies. Ah....we still like 'em. But they won't be there. And we'll announce their replacements next week.
Don't miss your chance to pick up a copy of "Wrestlers are like Seagulls," by manager extraordinaire J.J. Dillon, who will be autographing copies of his book at the Tag World! Meet the man that managed the legendary Four Horseman right into the wrestling history books!
Check out the two special classes being taught by Skayde, head trainer of Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon in Mexico! He'll be presenting a pair of unique seminars at Chikara Wrestle Factory for interested wrestlers, the same week as the Tag World Grand Prix!
Don't forget to order your Tag World tickets right now! Advance tickets will still be available for about a week or so!
