I know this is might be a "pipe dream" but you think a show at UIC Pavillion is doable?? OR have a show there when SHIMMER hits the century mark?? (Show 100)

What could a show potentially draw if the stars aligned perfectly, number wise (ballpark) 1000 maybe??

If I recall correctly, that's about where the Secaucus, NJ WM show got to, with walk-ins, with Wrestlecon happening in the same building, with the main event and much of the talent announced beforehand, in the biggest market for wrestling fans and huge numbers of wresting fans in town from around the world.

It always amazes and frustrates me that with Berwyn being the home base for a decade and Shimmer getting publicity semi regularly in PWI (even if the idiot did list it as Berwyn, Ohio... yeah that will get more people to come in) that it cant sell out the dinky Eagles Club. We should be turning people away by the hundreds at the door. I know the prices turn the casual fans away but still... so, yeah, I hate hate hate to even think of it but maybe another state would be more beneficial as far as turning greater profits and retaining sustainability.

It's funny, though. I look at the prices of ROH shows when they get close to my area and I'm hemming and hawing about whether or not it'd be worth it, cause those shows are more expensive than Shimmer by far. The next thing I know the shows have sold out. Given how special Shimmer's shows have been - some of the mind-blowing things that have happened during some recent Shimmer weekends, one would indeed think that the demand would out-pace supply. I think the reality is that - as much as women's wrestling is having a surge of interest, and fans are happy to see excellent women's matches at the top of an NXT card on occasion, it's not near the level of demand of high-quality men's wrestling. It's still very much a niche product in this country at this point in time.

Very small but extremely loyal fans we be. It's really a catch 22. If you know you're only gonna draw 200 fans you gotta charge big $$ to pay the talent and make a profit. If you lower prices significantly in a bigger place hoping to double or triple your crowd and they still don't show you just sunk the company. I just... it truly drives me insane when I read or hear someone going nuts about a WWE match that might have lasted 5 minutes tops with all completely choreographed and safe moves (unless it was AJ taking a crazy ass bump...say all u want about how much she sucked as a worker and couldn't go more than 45 seconds but her bumptaking was great) yet wont give Shimmer a shot with "real" athletes and workers who give a crap about the business all because it's not owned by a McMahon. Hmph.. And, yeah, ROH is nuts. I remember when they first came to Chicago Ridge and I was able to get 2nd row like a couple weeks before the show. And afford it too. Not anymore...

Whilst we're on an idea thread, any plans for an ondemand service from Shimmer?

Judging by what I saw in line and on different forums there were a LOT of walk-ins for Logan Square simply because people lived closer instead of out by Berwyn.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain on Saturday there was a group of 4 girls that came over from the fest outside and were there for almost all of the second half. Seemed like they were having a good time. It's a good sign.
