Danger's attacked her after Melissa had a hard-fought match with Leva Bates, who rudely interrupted Melissa getting a PWI Award, and when Melissa fought back she's in the wrong for defending herself.
LuFisto has tried to screw Melissa over in her match with Shida and yet the fans still cheer LuFisto.
The fans themselves have gone from cheering her to booing her in a very short amount of time.
But through it all Melissa has won and retained the Shimmer Championship often clean as a sheet in the middle of the ring and yet we're still meant to dislike her.
(this isn't an attack on anyone I'm just curious about it; I mean looking at like this it seems like the babyfaces are the bigger heels than the apparent heels themselves)

Danger ran in after Melissa repeatedly hit Leva with the Air Raid Crash. LuFisto toyed with a heel run and interfered during the match with YUMI OHKA after being blocked at a further title shot. Half the crowd still cheers for Melissa. Melissa retained at 62 because of interference from Mercedes.

I've explained this to you a few times on the FAN forum lol.
-Danger's attacked her after Melissa had a hard-fought match with Leva Bates,No. Melissa attacked Leva after the match. Danger was trying to save her friend.
-who rudely interrupted Melissa getting a PWI Award, and when Melissa fought back she's in the wrong for defending herself. Again Melissa attacked Danger after Danger's retirement match. Bates wanted to avenge her. Did Bates actually attack her or did she simply request a match? I can't recall.
LuFisto has tried to screw Melissa over in her match with Shida and yet the fans still cheer LuFisto. Melissa's been the one cheating to defeat Lufisto and denying her from winning the championship. Again Lufisto wants revenge and it isn't hard to see why.
The fans themselves have gone from cheering her to booing her in a very short amount of time. I don't see how the time matters. Melissa attacked a woman who retired due to a stroke. Twice. That sort of thing won't endear you to people.
But through it all Melissa has won and retained the Shimmer Championship often clean as a sheet in the middle of the ring and yet we're still meant to dislike her. Melissa is one of the best in the company, but her actions have been disgraceful quite honestly. She's a kayfabe dick, but that doesn't mean she can't win her matches. Unless the matches are against Lufisto in which case she'll cheat to win as she can't do it clean.

If your idea of "saints" are people who attack stroke victims and deliberately target their head where they've been diagnosed with brain lesions, then your religion is messed up. And this is on top of the blood still on her hands from the Saraya incidents in England where she continued to assault a defenseless woman being strangled in the ring ropes and would have continued assaulting her during the rematch while Saraya's kneecap was independent of her knee. But thankfully her family managed to keep her restrained before any further damage could be done.
With all this legitimately disgusting behavior on her resume, it does my head in that people can still support her.

People support Portia Perez despite her trying to kill and unborn child. Some people will cheer for the heels regardless of what they do sadly.
With Melissa this isn't shades of grey writing here. This isn't like in 1997 WWF where you could look at Bret Hart, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels' actions as both right and wrong. Melissa, the character, is not a good person.

So that makes it not as bad. Also maybe people support her because she's a good wrestler.

I really don't know how to explain it, she's done all this vile stuff as a heel but its really hard for me to hate her because of how talented she is in the ring, I don't know if its due to my Asperger Syndrome or what but I know I should hate Melissa's character for all she's done but the fact she's so talented and apparently is a really nice girl to fans makes it hard for me to boo her. Does this sound as stupid to you as it does to me?

A little yeah lol. I remember hearing a story about someone who walked up to Daffney, who was playing a heel at the time, and the guy said he was such a fan that he couldn't boo her. This took her back and she asked if it was because she wasn't doing a good job as a heel. Melissa wants to be booed, so if I was a fan I'd boo her. As it is I found her matches to start to become a little too formulaic (well I guess that would happen after 67 volumes and 68 matches) so I don't find it too hard to root against her. Especially since two of her first opponents were Lufisto and Matsumoto.

People support Portia Perez despite her trying to kill and unborn child. Since it was brought up, I also find that really messed up. And just because Saraya and Melissa buried the hatchet over it does not require me to. Ray Rice's wife may have forgiven him for knocking her out in an elevator but that's not stopping me and much of the general public from thinking he's a scumbag. Same applies to Melissa.

Appearantly not everybody hates Melissa. I guess it depends on how much you are sucked in by storylines in general. The more you are just looking for great matches, without a lot of talk about "why are they fighting", the less you may hate a heel. Fans are different, and that is good. The old formula that the fans hate the heel and watch the show to see the babyface kick her butt, doesn't work for everybody. I remember hearing a story about someone who walked up to Daffney, who was playing a heel at the time, and the guy said he was such a fan that he couldn't boo her. This took her back and she asked if it was because she wasn't doing a good job as a heel. I don't think wrestlers should see it that way and try to act even more heelish to convince every fan. If the fans come to see LuFisto vs Melissa just because they expect a good match, not because they care for the story behind it, it's cool. Don't piss them off with MORE storyline! I mean looking at like this it seems like the babyfaces are the bigger heels than the apparent heels themselves Isn't this the classic Hogan/Cena concept? A part of the audience thinks that the heels are the better wrestlers and want to see them kick the babyfaces' butts. They don't like this kind of booking, but buy tickets anyway. For decades Vince McMahon draws money from fans, who actually hate him, this way.

I've asked a few wrestler friends of mine about this (as me getting mad at fans cheering for Melissa at this past set of tapings caused a bit of anger at me - justifiably so as I was being a snit), and all of them say that heels work hard at being booed. If they are heels and someone is cheering for them they feel like they aren't doing their job. And I see their point.
For example I quite like and respect Portia and Veda. But they're both heels so to do my part I boo them heavily. It's what they want. To keep cheering for them when it's not what they want, it feels disrespectful to me. But that's just how I feel. You pay a ticket you have the right to react to wrestlers how you want - to an extent of course.

Also it's different at Shimmer in that you have the after parties to tell Melissa and Veda how much you enjoy their heel work without having to cheer them during the shows. Or if you can't make the after parties then tweet them your support.
