Just to pass a little time waiting for the next taping weekend results. I know that there's a lot of huge Shimmer fan nerds on this forum (myself included), so it's time to see just how crazy we can be! So here is how this goes... Please say "YAY" if you currently own the ENTIRE SHIMMER DVD LIBRARY. Please specify if you've also watched them all. Alternately, please say "BOO" if you had to sell your collection. Bonus if you sold your collection to other members of this forum. ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: If you've seen every volume live, you WIN.I'll start... YAY! Haven't seen them all, but about halfway through. I've seen 8 live volumes (4 nights). I wasn't lucky enough to see the one ippv in person, but saw it live nevertheless!

^ Nice!
I will just say that my collection is getting too large for my storage rack, but I'm still missing the out of print titles.
Y'all are standing on my toes here, lol

there are only 5 older volumes I don't have ( and looks like I never will, they're not available & if anyone is ever selling them they want ridiculous funds for them ) , and as soon as 57 comes out I'll buy 53-57 as a set, so I'll be about as complete as can be. If Shine ever actually prints out more dvd's ( which I've already paid for ) I'll have all theirs.

I must have missed something here! I am still missing Shimmer Vol.4, and #'s 6 to 12. In another thread about older dvd's, it was said some were repackaged I think (I guess this explains my Big Vision Entertainment versions of Vol.'s 3 and 5. #3 has ring entrances, but #5 doesn't).

So now the DVDr thing may make this thread more interesting! Thanks in advance Dave for everyone who wants to see these matches in decent quality again. ? OK, you have my attention ! Yeah, Volumes #1-6 were released in retail (Big Vision, with the Wrestling World Network and ROH logos on the cover and/or spine) with some cut entrances and dubbed over theme music, different menus and some trailers for other material from their line. The last two volumes have photo galleries and one of them has some music video adverts from artists they used for the music. These were previously available (but very rare) from Shimmer directly without the extras but with the full entrances and original music. So Dave said that they were planning to put together some two disc sets (splitting each volume onto two DVD-R's) to make it easier for people who wanted to see the "out of print" volumes. He said it didn't apply to volumes 1 & 2 because those were re-released as the "Collector's Edition" which is still readily available. The main deal seems to be that Dave said (correct me if I'm wrong) that they didn't get properly compensated for the Big Vision volumes and so his company doesn't get anything when fans buy them. Since the sets pop up on Ebay periodically (but often for exorbitant prices), and since you end up paying more if you get all the particular matches through clickwrestle (the ones that are available anyway) this sounds like a great idea. Amazon sometimes has the non-retail volumes but usually only the more recent ones that are still available through Shimmer/ROH/Highspots. This won't hurt collectors because they can still go after the professionally pressed single disc editions of these volumes. It'll only help those who want to own the entire set of matches to enjoy. Vols. 1-6 retail were the first ones I ever got. I've since found the original versions and these off.

I have about 32 volumes going up to volume 48, including the first 6, so I am missing a lot in the gap like 7 and whichever one is the first half of the first title tournament. And I haven't been able to afford recent ones because I am not as well off as when I made my run through Ebay to collect the old stuff and buy new ones. I'm not going to sell but it is hard to buy these days, maybe I'll put them on my Christmas list, or even better, perhaps a Christmas in july list, and Santa will bring them unto me, probably not though.

Old news to some probably, but I see that now Shimmer Volumes 1-25 are available as streaming video on demand ($15 each) on the WWN website, alongside the previously released iPPV's (53, 62 & 71).
I'm working on watching Vol. 32-36 in their entirety then 63-66. I really can't wait for 67 & 68 though! One of my discs was scratched so I couldn't see Leva Bate's match against Milaya Hosaka (except the very beginning and end), but I suppose there's always clickwrestle for that.
I've probably said this before, but I'd really love to see a collection of all the Shimmer title defenses outside of Shimmer in a DVD set (I know you can track down the disc individually but it's pretty tough and expensive right now).

Not possible. The various promotions own their footage.

YAY! Well 1-65 anyway with only one of them an annoying Big Vision version. Seen all at least once, older volumes multiple times. All play fine except 2 of the newish ones get farty both times during the Athena match! That sucks! But if I skip ahead it plays fine the next match. Hey Kurgan I'm sure you know this but in lieu of a Non-Shimmer Shimmer dvd comp there is the IWA-MS box sets that pretty much is the complete birth of Shimmer (downside being you have to deal with tons of horrible Mickie Bearclaw matches) and the ROH double disc set that fills in some holes as well.
