School's In: Episode 17 - SHIMMER MEGACAST... Nearly 90 minutes of laughs, lessons and total ridiculousness! After taping SHIMMER Volumes 58 through 61 last weekend, many of the performers and crew needed to kick back and have some fun! You will hear from many people who make SHIMMER possible as well as a few cameos from representatives of different media outlets who certainly show their support throughout the year. Even with all the laughter along the way, there are still a few lessons to take away from quite possibly the most eclectic podcast guest list in history. Guests appear in groups in the following order: NCW Femmes Fatales’ Stephane Bruyere Mary Lee Rose Stew Allen from ringbellesonline.com Nikki Storm “Sweet” Saraya Knight “The Anarchist” Arik Cannon SHIMMER Cameraman/Editor David Puente Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Dan Murphy “The Super Hardcore Anime” LuFisto AAW and SHIMMER Backstage Support Pat Creed S-Ovation Promoter and Joshi Talent Coordinator Hachiro Suzuki “Lady Destroyer” Hiroyo Matsumoto iTunes: itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/id677496311Direct Stream/Download: pwponderings.com/SEEwrestling/2013/10/schools-in-episode-17-shimmer-megacast/Also available for streaming on Stitcher radio. Plus Skater and Shida in there somewhere!

Not a SHIMMER talent, but one of us - G-Reg is on this week's Uncle Mike & Tom Show talking not as much as he'd like to about SHIMMER, about two hours or so into the show.

Yeah.... I always have issues remembering details of every match, and being able to give commentary for the lower card matches outside of "it's a match." So I had planned to just cover the major storylines of the weekend, and in the end, because so much was spent on AAW and ROH, the SHIMMER discussion got it's time cut. I covered a lot of points, but I know I missed a lot, and I do feel bad about it. Still, enjoy! archive.org/details/UncleMikeTomShow63

Kevin, I have really been enjoying your podcasts. The shimmer mega-podcast was, of course, completely unique and wonderful, but your interviews with Danger, Skater, Melissa, Joey Eastman and Saraya were also really cool - entertaining and informative. I hope your School is getting lots of students.

Should've probably put this link up a few days ago as it's already slightly out of date now, but at Ringbelles we've got a new audio series hosted by Angelus Layne - detailing the health issues that kept her out of wrestling for several months and covering her comeback. Angelus made her return to the ring last night at VWAA in Illinois, but in the first introductory episode of "LAYNE'S BRAIN" (working title for now at any rate) she talks about what her aims are for the podcast, and looks at where she is health-wise ahead of her return match. ringbellesonline.com/2013/11/23/new-podcast-laynes-brain-1-with-angelus-layne/Just over half an hour, and it's a very easy listen. It's her baby, and I look forward to seeing what she's got in mind for shows going forward.

Hello everyone, here is an interview I conducted yesterday with Jessicka Havok, talking her recent matches in WSU, 2CW, SHINE and SHIMMER. Hope you all enjoy it, was very happy with how the interview turned out. - Jason Namako, Wrestleview.com archive.org/details/Jessickahavok120613

"After a holiday week away with equipment on-loan to our friends at SHIMMER Women Athletes, School’s In is back in a fun way as Kevin welcomes the lovely VEDA SCOTT. Sometimes it’s hard to believe Veda is but two years into her in-ring career. She’s a regular member of the SHIMMER roster, a roster cornerstone and former Tag Team Champion in AIW in Cleveland and prominently featured on Ring of Honor television. Her tale of how she achieved those three tidbits is almost three different stories, separately entertaining in their own ways. Just for good measure, Kevin and Veda bring the ridiculous with discussions about Street Fights, Cheeseburger curb stomps and Doink the Clown!" Here's another edition of Angelus Layne's "Layne's Brain" show on Ringbelles. Half an hour or so, featuring some pretty open and honest audio recorded minutes after her return match from injury, the horror of DICK PICS and a chat with her fiancé Alex Castle. Definite recommendation on this one - you won't hear any more open or heart-wrenching audio anywhere this week. ringbellesonline.com/2013/12/11/laynes-brain-2-with-angelus-layne/

"On the independent wrestling circuit, a good referee can be hard to come by. This week, a GREAT referee stops to speak to Kevin in the form of BRYCE REMSBURG! Bryce has had the chance to travel the world, working with virtually every well known independent promotion going today. Bryce brings a load of laughs from tales of his time on the road. He discusses getting to know some of his heroes on a personal level. A few wrestling road games are brought into the conversation such as "The Wrestler Disease Game." If we cut the giggling, this would probably be a much shorter episode. We hope you have just as much fun listening as Kevin and Bryce did recording. After the interview, Kevin welcomes Pro Wrestling Ponderings' Jerome Cusson to discuss his experience in the first Announcers' Camp as The SEE readies for Announcers' Camp 2." • SHIMMER fans note: Incorrect information for WrestleMania weekend is given at the tail end of the last two episodes. SHIMMER will be part of the WWNLive Experience. Please disregard information offered about the April 5 event given on these podcasts. Formal retractions coming next week... (Thanks, Martin.) "Ever watch Ring of Honor? Maybe Dragon Gate USA or Evolve? How about a little bit of SHIMMER Women Athletes? The list could continue from there, but many top-shelf promotions in the wrestling world have a common ingredient in DAVID PUENTE! David is a cameraman and editor for some of the most reputable video products available. Hear insight into how he got his start and key friendships he made early on. Learn who he feels invests most in their products and the hilarity of items ending up on his cutting room floor. This week brings a quite literal look behind the camera through the tales of Puente's time in professional wrestling." Haven't posted shows here in a while, but School's In marched on and had a few episodes off-cycle from the usual rotation. We returned to normal rhythms this week. In case you missed them, they are available on iTunes, Stitcher and Pro Wrestling Ponderings at the attached link. Certainly a few ties to SHIMMER and women's wrestling in the more recent episodes. Episode 24 with WWNLive/SHIMMER Cameraman and Editor David Puente. Episode 25 Fake NYE Party with Guests Dave Prazak, Arik Cannon, Patrick Creed, Mike Robles, and Camera Guy Ivan. Could also be known as "School's INtoxicated: Episode 1..." Episode 26 with AIW out of Cleveland, OH Promoter John Thorne. iTunes: http://tinyurl/com/SEEWrestling Stitcher: Search "School's In: The Official Podcast of The School of Everything Else.
