Another subject we may as well discuss now (for the future) is the idea of doing reserved seating for the second row, in addition to first row. We'd do a slight price increase for second row (like $40 instead of $30), and assign seat numbers. This would eliminate the need for being at the head of the line and having to fight for second row seating once doors open. Groups like CHIKARA and ROH have sold second row seating as well, and it worked well for them. It could also be beneficial for us as a company in that it could help us cover some more of our costs by generating the additional ticket revenue that would go along with it. We decided against doing it for 58-61, in favor of keeping the ticket prices exactly the same as last time... but it's an idea we are thinking about for the future. What say you, the fans? Would you be for or against it in the future?

I would be in favor of it. It would ease the pressure for people to get there so early, make things less stressful in the building when doors open, and make it easier for people like myself who prefer the back row to get our favorite seats.
To expand on this, I wouldn't mind all of the GA seats going up in price if it meant being able to reserve seats, regardless of the row. I'd pay $10 extra per day if it meant I could make sure I'm sitting in the spot I want to sit, or at least the row I want.

As I mentioned over on the Facebook thread about this... we'll somehow take a vote at the shows in October to evaluate the idea based on the opinion of the general admission ticket buyers who are there.

Add DGUSA to the list of promotions that charge additional for 2nd row -I say whatever helps Shimmer stay healthy financially and bring in top talent is a good thing for fans, too, in the long run. A bit of a hike in 2nd row seats seems reasonable to me, though I had the ability to go all-in on the front row tickets.

You should have Skyped me, and I could have done commentary on that match MST3K style.

Well I'm not a GA ticket buyer as of yet, but for what it's worth I've never liked GA seating in any public event. If I were to have to alter my budget to purchase 2nd row instead of first, I would not mind the $10 increase in order to have an assigned seat. I guess the drawback would be that it would be harder to change seats during the show to escape certain.....elements.

If anyone near me catches Saraya's attention I'm going to hide under my chair like a cat during a thunderstorm.

Patience, mainly maybe a little elaboration, please? Like, will you be asking a lot questions, needing to meet people, things like that? I've got no problems with helping with that. But, things like splitting a hotel room, or travelling back and forth, that's different. Basically, I'm going to be there from the Wednesday before to the Tuesday after (got a 2 person room booked for the week which someone is welcome, but not obliged, to share if they promise not to do awful things to me while I sleep), and as such I've got a load of time to fill, so if anyone wants to hang out and maybe poke around a few places with me during the days or go out in the evenings I'd be cool with that. Since I can't drive a lift to the shows would be great, but I wouldn't really care if I had to cab it (assuming it's not going to cost me loads to get there and back), and any extra transport would be a bonus. I'll probably ask a few questions too, as evidenced by my pretty frequent question asking since I decided to come over this time.

If anyone near me catches Saraya's attention I'm going to hide under my chair like a cat during a thunderstorm. That was literally about 70% of the reason why I didn't fancy a first row seat. --- Oh, and I'd be fine with a price increase on GA & the ability to reserve extra rows of seating.

If anyone near me catches Saraya's attention I'm going to hide under my chair like a cat during a thunderstorm. Don't fret too much. If she follows her usual route during her entrance, our side almost always gets bypassed. Usually she makes a clockwise lap of the ring and hops on the apron before the final side.

Just don't make eye contact, and you'll be fine. And if she does come to you, I'm sure someone in your row will draw her attention away.

I should probably finish my drink before she comes out, right? Eh, I don't know why I'm nervous. I could probably take her in a fight. She'd have to be put into a coma first, though.

I'm coming from England and I'll probably be there Weds 16th - Monday 21st. I'll stay in central Chicago until Friday and then head down to Rodeway for the shows over the weekend. I suspect there will almost definitely be a meeting of Shimmer fans on the Wednesday night at Tara's place (Squared Circle) at the very least.
