I'll be honest, I went in with a negative view of Kimber Lee just based on her name. But by the end of the weekend she was by far the biggest positive surprise for me. Her team with Cherry Bomb was a really solid heel duo, and her match with Kana was an absolute war that showed her to be rugged as hell.
+1 on Kimber Lee - as a solo and on her tag-team with Cherry Bomb. Kimber Lee was awesome and Cherry Bomb was more entertaining than ever.
Mia Yim was at her best this weekend. Shida was a tremendous addition to Shimmer. Lufisto proved to me why she's so beloved (53 was the first time I ever saw her). I'm still glowing with joy from the shows.
- MVPs of the weekend were Madison Eagles, Lufisto, Mercedes Martinez and Mia Yim.
- Seriously, Madison Eagels is so good. I think her performances stood out more than normal due to all the absences.
- Hiroyo Matsumoto would get over with any crowd anywhere in the world - she's a rare talent.
- I may not be as bummed as Danger that Hamada missed the tapings, but I think I'm a close second.
- Kimber Lee opened eyes with her performance with Kana, but it shouldn't be a shock to anyone familiar with her work (her name is still stupid tho). Already interested to see how she does next time.
- Kana and Allison Kaye... maybe my hopes were too high, but something just didn't click. Certainly not for lack of effort.
- Nicole Matthews vs. Madison Eagles was twenty minutes that just flew by. Fun stuff.
- I'm sure this is a byproduct of all the absences, but this is the first set of tapings I can remember that I didn't sense a clear direction moving forward. That said, I'm certainly not worried.
- Does everyone on the roster do the Justin Credible pose on the ropes?
- I like a good brawl, but I could do without the geek show stuff like the stapler.
- The party bus from Paisans to the Squared Circle was sweet, hopefully Greg can put this together for the next tapings. If the only afterpatry was at Squared Circle next time, that would be a-okay by me.
- My picks to impress next time - Kimber Lee and Su Yung.
- As usual, the Shimmer weekend has renewed my faith in pro wrestling. Thanks to everyone involved. I was wiped out on Monday, and I was just a fan (granted, I was a fan drinking the whole weekend...). I can only imagine how everyone else feels.
I wouldn't want to be Prazak come the next run of shows, trying to decide which talents have to miss out when so many are in hot form from these shows (Shida, Storm, Lee, Yim, etc), but there are so many that almost certainly have to come right back in (Hamada, Athena, Rush, etc).

Even with some key talent missing, these tapings were amazing. Sunday, in my opinion, was definitely superior - Plenty of great matches and shenanigans. I also loved that there was more comedy than there usually is. Albeit I think the fork thing got a bit overdone, but still fun. In some matches it did seem like losses and wins didn't matter as much as the shenanigans the wrestlers pulled, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Good to just have some fun with wrestling once in a while instead of looking so closely at who wins and loses. My favourite matches of the tapings go to (in no particular order): - Nicole Matthews vs. Madison Eagles - 3G vs. Kana and LuFisto - Melissa vs. Hiroyo Matsumoto - Nicole Matthews vs. Shida (Vol. 59. Loved 60, too) - Madison Eagles vs. Jessicka Havok - Portia Perez vs. Hiroyo Matsumoto (Vol. 60) - Madison Eagles vs. Shida vs. Kana
Volume 59 Thunderkitty coming out selling that she was cold without her coat was a nice touch. Miss Natural plays a good heel character, but I'm just waiting for a match of hers that really wows me. I do love Thunderkitty's old school moves (I forgot to mention the CLAW being used against Portia) and here we have a sleeper hold finisher!
Melanie Cruise vs Cristina Von Eerie vs Su Yung s Saraya Knight This match was meant to continue the Von Eerie/Saraya fued and lead to the three stages of hell match, and it did, but I came out of it more excited by Su Yung vs Saraya. There was one spot on the outside of the ring where Su just went nuts and started whalloping Saraya and it was amazing! Sadly Su got injured in this match (was she able to wrestle in Texas on Sunday in the end?. I dunno if it was from the tombstone or not, but that's a move I can do without. It's too dangerous.
Nikki Storm vs Veda Scott I enjoyed this more than Veda's first match on 58 and Nikki Storm is just superb. The streak continues 2-0!
Nevaeh & Sassy vs Santana & Summers Unlike say Taylor Made who didn't really do anything for me as a face, but I really like as a heel, I didn't mind babyface Nevaeh, however as a heel she is very good. Her banter with the crowd gets overlooked by Saraya's, Cherry's and the Ninjas, but it deserves mentioning. Sassy is good as always too. Summers played the babyface in peril so we didn't we didn't really get to see much of her, but this was alright and led to Sassy and Nevaeh getting a title shot. I like Santana and I know she's a happy-go-lucky kind of face, but here she didn't show any concern for her partner and kept smiling all match which was a little odd.
Portia Perez vs MsChif The Portia story continues! More turnbuckle hijinx and then the stealing of MsChif's spikes. I loved everything Perez did this weekend and MsChif seemed to have such a fun time with it all. There was one fan near me, who was FURIOUS as every litte thing Portia did, which was kind of fun, if a little overbearing.
Kimber Lee vs Kana Possibly match of the weekend. It was that good. My side gave Kimber grief that "Kana's gonna kill you" and telling her to surrender before the match even started, but that wasn't us underestimating her ability, it's just because she's a heel. I mean we all knew she'd put up a fight, as there are no squash matches ever in Shimmer, but I don't think anybody knew just how much of a fight Kimber would put up. Breakout match for sure reminiscent of Nikki Roxx's match against Kong or Deeb's first against Del Rey. Kimber Lee is going places. Also zombie face paint!!!
Jessicka Havok vs Leva Bates The death machine rolls on! Much more competitive than Havok's first one. As a massive MGS fan I loved Leva coming out as Big Boss (though she seemed to go from Big Boss to Solid Snake during her ring introduction which makes the inner geek in me annoyed lol). The box spot was hilarious. Havok: "Are you hiding from me?!" Bates: (Peaking out from the box) "Yes. That's the whole idea!!" Then Havok destroyed the box making genome soldiers everywhere go "Ohhhhh, that's what we should do." Good stuff.
Madison Eagles vs Mia Yim This was amazing. Mia Yim vs Shida and Matthews vs Eagles had imo the best matches on the previous volume. Then swapped opponents and both delivered again! After her matches with Kana, Kong and Shida and now this excellent encounter with Eagles Mia Yim has proved herself one of Shimmer's fastest rising stars and a title match could well happen for her in 2014. Madison Eagles is in capable of having a bad match I think. She's simply one of the best in the world and everything she touches turns to gold. She kept her winning streak going, but I can't see her getting a title shot while Melissa is still champion.
Made in Sin vs 3G While the likes of Eagles, Yim, Kana, Shida, Matthews etc where having superb singles matches and getting rave reviews 3G quietly went about their weekend having 4 good-to-great tag team matches. If Kimber Bomb remind me of the IHWC then Made in Sin remind me of the MHWC. While Bomb and Lee are comical heels that you secretly love Made in Sin are full on bitches and the are great at it. Again I mean that as a compliment! This and the next one have sort of melded into one in my brain, but at the time I know I enjoyed it.
Hikaru Shida vs Nicole Matthews Amazing, amazing, amazing! No more words need to be said.
Mercedes Martinez vs Lufisto I think some expected Lufisto to get the title shot on this volume, well I did anyway, so were a little surprised when this match happened. These two met before waaaay back on volume 7 on Lufi's debut so it was good to sell them do battle again (I haven't seen their NCW stuff). A good contest that I kind of overlooked in favour of Kana/Lee, Yim/Eagles, Matthews/Shida and the upcoming title match. It did make me excited to see Lufisto's upcoming title shot though, so good job.
Cheerleader Melissa vs Hiroyo Matsumoto Hiroyo is one of the best babyfaces I've ever seen and while there were still some Melissa chants Hiroyo had the vast majority of fans on her side. I feel like the match went into another gear once Matsumoto threw the chair at Melissa. That spot made me come alive and out of my chair and I stayed pumped until Melissa eventually got the upper hand much to my dismay.
Volume 60 Sparkle Midiane vs JK Kennedy Midiane's fun French antics were still fun fun the second day and Kennedy is a good babyface. Midiane cheated for the win making them 1-1.
Main Show Nikki Storm vs Heidi Lovelace Nikki is a great way to start a volume as the crowd do come alive whenever she makes her entrance. It was before this match when Nikki Storm said she was the best (and best looking) wrestler in the galaxy! Her wrestling is more flawless than Mr Perfect, more dominant than Bill Goldberg and (can't remember the adjective she used!) than Andre Giant. Heidi Lovelace looked good in there with Storm, but there was no way she was ended the streak! 3-0!
Melanie Cruise vs Mia Yim I've sung Yim's praises a lot already, so let me say that Cruise looked great here. I've always said I think she sells too much and too well for someone of her size, but here she looked like a beast at times (catching Mia Yim leaping from the top rope was impressive as hell) and when she did sell it came across that Yim was outsmarting her, which is the perfect way to book David vs Goliath matches. There was one part where it looked like Cruise was going to tombstone Mia, but thankfully it was not to be and Mia won with the amazing 450 splash it what hopefully leads to a little winning streak.
Kimber Bomb vs Mary Lee Rose and Crazy Mary Dobson Kimber Bomb came out to a lot of cheers due to Kimber Lee's excellent showing against Kana on the day before, which was nice. I tried getting a "lets go Marys chant going but sadly to no avail. I don't know if the Marys are going to be a regular team or not as they don't seem to have much in common besides the first name. "Kimber Bomb" however work so well as a unit. I liked it when Kimber said to Cherry "I have a great idea!" and then irish whipped the confused Cherry Bomb into Mary Lee Rose. (Kimber Lee's 'great' ideas would later be their undoing). I still feel like we didn't get to see what Mary Lee Rose is properly capable of, but Mary Dobson on the other hand impressed me greatly, though more so on the next volume.
Saraya Knight vs Thunderkitty The "Thunder. THUNDER. THUNDER KITTY" chant needs to keep going. That is awesome. Saraya's promo before the match is a perfect way of how you insult another wrestler in character whilst building them up at the same time. Just something simple like Knight saying she's heard how good Thunderkitty is makes her seem legit. A funny moment before was Saraya saying something along the lines of that she's been wrestling for a very long time only for a fan to say "Since the 1920's" (someone will correct me on exactly what was said), but it lead to one of the biggest "Ooooooohs! You got served" moments since that little boy told Lacey to go play with her Barbie's on volume 10. Saraya threated to punch me in the mouth during this match which silenced me for this match! I liked the fans telling PJ that she was cheating using the ropes and then Saraya calling the fans grassers and then saying "That's your fault that happened!" to the same fan after the ref told her to break the hold, as if somehow that was a bad outcome!
Allysin Kay vs Kana Yeah, this match didn't work for me either sadly. The crowd were very quit during the match, perhaps a little fatigued, and perhaps part of the problem is that Kana isn't one of those faces who's character will encourage the fans to chant for her or clap their hands, but they just didn't seem to gel that well really, Kay's 5 minutes stalling didn't help things much either. A bit of a shame as these two are capable of having a great match, it's just that this wasn't it.
Portia Perez vs Hiroyo Matsumoto Once the stealing gimmick began this was the match we wanted and we got it! Portia's turnbuckle tricks worked again and this would actually have to count as one of her biggest victories thus far in Shimmer really. I loved her leaving Thunderkitty's flower behind and telling Hiroyo not to steal it "that's mine!". Such a great heel.
Mercedes Martinez vs Santana Garrett Nice little match this, Santana's best match so far (though I did really enjoy Shazza vs Santana on volume 50) and she got a nice ovation after the match.
Sassy and Nevaeh vs 3G Another fun tag team match with the Global Green Gangsters. All four played their part as did Rachelle on the outside. 3G won again and their double kicks on Nevaeh (I think)looked deadly!
Madison Eagles vs Jessicka Havok Eagles came out challenging anybody in the back "male or female" (which is odd) and it was answered by Havok, which had me "marking out, bro!" Shimmer had never had a heel vs heel match prior to this weekend and this was our second, both fetauring Eagles. I got the feeling after day 1 that Havok was rather direction-less and just spinning her wheels until our faces like Rush, Athena, Serena and McKay return, but this was a good pay-off to the easy Saturday wins for me. Yet somehow Eagles won once more making her impressive unbeaten (though not a winning streak as Courtney Rush won a 4 way featuring Eagles at Volume 54) streak continues!
Nicole Matthews vs Hikaru Shida This time the kendo stick was legal. I actually preferred the match from the last volume as this had too much of the "I'm going for the stick!" "No, I'M going for the stick!" spots for the first 10 minutes or so, though Nicole doing that during her entrance was brilliant. Once the kendo stick was retrieved the match really started proper and was excellent. The kendo stick shots were amazingly stiff, the final one to Matthews head was crazy(though I missed the crazy one in AAW Friday which was meant to be insane!). Before the match Nicole's weight was billed "and none of that is due to concealed forks", which was a nice weekend gimmick of hers (she had previously had something like "and not fuelled by Starbucks or something) and after the match Eagles came out with a sarcastic clap to Matthews, while also getting in the face of Shida setting up what was meant to be Eagles vs Shida I assume.
Cheerleader Melissa vs Lufisto Best main event by far this weekend. Of course Lufisto isn't going to win the title... but I bought into it. I wanted Lufisto to win. I think she deserves to win that belt and by the end of the match I believed not that she could win, but that she would win. It was incredible stuff and even some of the Melissa fans were siding with Lufi on this one. One of the very best matches over the weekend and the one I was most emotionally invested in. After the match Melissa and Mercedes did a beatdown on Lufisto causing Kana to run out for the save setting up what was meant to be LuKana vs our newest tag team of Melissa and Melissa. However during the match Melissa got busted wide open causing her to go to hospital and not wrestle on her first ever Shimmer show. I got the impression that after the tag match on volume 61 this was going to lead to Melissa vs Kana at the Wrestlecon show, but if the visual of a bloody Melissa shouting "I'm going to kill you!" to Lufisto comes across as powerful on DVD as it did live then there is no way we can't have Lufisto vs Melissa match soon.
Volume 61 Nevaeh vs Santana Both women finished up their good weekends with a nice solid opener. I was glad to see Nevaeh get a singles match over the weekend. I was quite shocked while watching Volume 53 when Dave said on commentary that "Nevaeh isn't even on the roster!" I was like "She's not?! I thought she was just in rotation-out mode." Well if she wasn't on the roster, then hopefully she will be now. Perhaps not on every weekend, but at least one of the two weekends a year. The fact she's in an established tag team should help with that. Santana wins here which was just deserves after her match with MM last show.
Jessicka Havok vs Crazy Mary Dobson Jessicka Havok is an amazing talent. I just wanted to start with that before I gush over Mary Dobson as she was freaking fantastic here! I know you are going to call me stupid, but I genuinely for a while thought Dobson would shock the world here! I was getting serious 123 Kid vs Razor Ramon vibes from this. Alas she lost, but damn did she look like a star here! Dobson got a standing ovation and a "please come back!" chant and Id be shocked if she doesn't. For Havok it was a weekend where not a lot happened for her. Brief glimpse of a face turn against Eagles, but nothing came of it. Hopefully in the Spring she'll have more to get her teeth into, but this was a textbook example of how to beat someone and still make them look superb.
Angie Skye vs Mia Yim Skye came out to a great reception, which was possibly due to people like me being happy to see her on the main shows at last. Any chance of her being the crowd favourite ended as soon as Mia Yim's music started though. (I was doing my best to get "Mia" chants going whenever I could! lol) The had a great little match here with Yim winning with the 450 again. I'm constantly worried she's going to bang her head on these high-risk moves! Nice to see Skye get on a DVD and Yim's reactions all weekend could not have gone unnoticed.
Taylor Made vs Thunderkitty Thunderkitty is a great babyface. Her replying to Made making the ref check her with "Okay. Trailer Made!" got one of the loudest pops of the weekend it seemed. Thunder, THUNDER, THUNDER KITTY kept doing stuff like that too, which turned what could have been a meaningless match into an enjoyable contest and you need to give Taylor Made credit for her reactions to the digs too.
Nicole Matthews vs Heidi Lovelace Good fight from Lovelace, but there was little doubt that Matthews had to win this one! Hopefully we have more Heidi next time. I want to see more of her. I've also got to mention Matthews pouring coffee onto Eagle's shirt during her entrance. Excellent stuff and I look forwards to their next match. Oh and again Matthews whispered something into Harvey's ear who then shockingly said "I'M NOT SAYING THAT!" Haha
Nikki Storm vs Leva Bates Something that I only got a couple of days after the show was that Storm was calling herself the best in the universe... so it makes sense that she would lose to someone from a galaxy far, far away, Han Solo Leva Bates. Bates being hailed from a "wretched hive of scum and villainy" and winking as Harvey said that was amazing. Sigh, Leva's just perfect. Storm destroying Bate's Chewbacca teddy was brilliant. I was confused by Bate's using a pedigree as I thought that was one of CVE's finishers. The Pepsi Plunge was wow!!!! Damn that was a great ending. I'm not sure I would have ended Storm's streak so early, but that was a great way to do it and the fact Storm kicked out of so much (I thought she was beat 3 or 4 times!) made her look strong. 3-1
MsChif vs MsNatural This was the show with insane finishers! Following up from the Pepsi Plunge in the last match we had MsChif's Obliteration, which looked deadly! The match was entertaining with MsChif changing up her moveset by doing her jumping corner stomps on the other side of the ropes was a nice spot.
Portia Perez vs Hiroyo Matsumoto Earlier in the show was the cutest promo ever by Hiroyo saying she can not go back to Japan without her Godzilla mask and her sad face when she came out for the match made me go "awww". Portia's entrance though was one of the greatest things ever! I kind of wish she stole Shida's kendo stick after the Matthews match to make it even better lol. The match was a lot of fun and ended as it should Portia hitting the turnbuckle she exposed and MsChif and Thunderkitty running out to reclaim their stuff. Sometimes the obvious booking really is the best way forward!
3G vs Kimber Bomb Great match. I think I may have even preferred this to 3G vs Lukana. Following on from the two crazy finishes this one ended in a tower of doom with poor Cherry Bomb being the victim thanks to Kimber Lee's stupid Dick Dastardly plan and like Dick Dastardly there was no need to even try the high spot, they were already on top of the match! Hilarious After the match I said to Cherry on the outside that in future that she should ignore Kimber Lee's advice and that she was the brains of the outfit and I had a laugh with them both at the after party about that- it was funny seeing Cherry ribbing Kimber about it in characters. For a while I thought we were going to have new tag team champions once Kimber Bomb nailed their tag finisher but Skater made the save at the last minute. Really good.
Saraya Knigt vs Cristina Von Eerie Sadly we were really running out of time time I assume as the last three matches all suffered from not being long enough. Now Saraya did say on the last volume that the 3 Stages of Hell match was going to be done British style, so maybe the 5 minute time limits were planned from the start, but it was an odd way of doing the match. The 2nd fall was hurt too because they seemed to be waiting for the time to expire for 40 seconds or so. It was announced that you had to win 2 matches to be declared the winner, but surely if you just win the last one and draw the first two then that's good enough? Sadly due to the time constraints, the complex rules (so Saraya can only tie the match after losing the 2nd fall?) and Christina Von Eerie's belts falling apart (seriously where did those brass knuckles come from?) it was hard to get excited until the final fall. On the forum a few months back we discussed blood and most of us didn't want any, so I'm sure some were put off by this. A family show where someone staples dollars and Shimmer tickets to someone's head? I didn't mind it so much, I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon though that's for sure. In hindsight this match would have worked better if it was no holds barred from the very start, but hindsight's a wonderful thing and hey at least we got a cool visual out of it.
Madison Eagles vs Hikaru Shida vs Kana I'm guessing we had a last minute change here with Kana thrown in. This was phenomenal while it lasted and got the only "this is awesome" chant all weekend. The fork vs the kendo stick vs Kana's spoon spot was so funny. Never seen Kana do comedy before. She does it well. Really wish this had at least an extra five minutes. In hindight again perhaps making it a five way with Lufisto and Mercedes too as they still could have ended the show the same way no doubt, but had a much longer match. Anyway this was great while it lasted and Eagles wins once more!
Lufisto vs Mercedes Martinez The second time these two faced off this weekend. I'm assuming that's part of the reason they changed this up and had them brawl through the crowd, or maybe it was to make up for the length of the match. Either way I approve. It was great fun seeing my first crowd brawl after watching so many on DVD. The ending with Melissa returning (keeping her DVD appearance record, if not her DVD match streak alive) and attacking Lufisto had me angry in a 'I can't wait to see these two get their arses kicked' way, so the booking worked here.
Overall I had a blast. There were some real breakout performances by Mia Yim, Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb. Su Yung looked great in her two matches also. Great debuts by Shida, Storm and Dobson while the regulars like Eagles, Matthews, Melissa, Lufisto, 3G, Kana, Matsuoto, Perez, Saraya, Mercedes etc were all great as expected. I also wanted to say how great all the wrestlers were at the after parties. I didn't speak to a lot of them, but the ones I did interact with like Lisa Marie Vachon, Kimber Lee, Cherry Bomb, Nikki Storm, the Joshis were all lovely. Su Yung especially coming to the after party Saturday and staying to the end, taking dozens of photographs despite being injured AND still being the nicest person in the world was a class act and impressed me as much as her wrestling did. All four volumes had matches that I loved, so here's my top 15 of the weekend.
1. Cheerleader Melissa vs Lufisto- Volume 60 2. Madison Eagles vs Nicole Matthews- Volume 58 3. Madison Eagles vs Kana vs Hikaru Shida- Volume 61 4. Hikaru Shida vs Nicole Matthews- Volume 59 5. Kana vs Kimber Lee- Volume 59 6. Mia Yim vs Hikaru Shida- Volume 58 7. 3G vs Kimber Bomb- Volume 61 8. Madison Eagles vs Mia Yim- Volume 59 9. Cheerleader Melissa vs Hiroyo Matsumoto- Volume 59 10. Hikaru Shida vs Nicole Matthews- Volume 60 11. 3G vs LuKana- Volume 58 12. Jessicka Havok vs Madison Eagles- Volume 60 13. Jessicka Havok vs Crazy Mary Dobson- Volume 61 14. Nikki Storm vs Leva Bates- Volume 61 15. Mercedes Martinez vs Lufisto- Volume 61
Honorable mentions would be CVE vs Saraya (61), Perez vs Matsumoto (61) and Angie Skye vs Mary Dobson (Sparkle).
One of the highlights of the weekend for me was the Saraya Knight "birthday" business - the interaction with the fans and then Haroyo Matsumoto picking it up so hilariously - Matsumoto charging across the ring at Saraya screaming "Happy Birthday!" with a huge smile on her face is an image that I hope I never forget. So it was quite interesting to listen to Saraya's interview on the S.E.E. podcast last night and hear her talking about how much she was looking forward to her birthday weekend. Has there ever been a better female heel in wrestling than Saraya Knight? She's incredible!
My first live Shimmer in 4 years and I have to say it was different, but still enjoyable. I did miss the numerous absent wrestlers, especially Hamada, and considering the other issues that happened, I'm glad it still turned out well.
Highlights for me were, Kana vs Kimber Lee(who surprisingly impressed me in that match) Kana is just amazing. I can't even describe fully how good she is. The banter with Nicole Matthews and Madison Eagles was fun, though I thought we were on the road to a Matthews face turn. Madison's matches were all great, though I was a little upset when she beat Jessicka Havok. Speaking of Havok, I know she is a recent addition to Shimmer and she is finding her way, but I can't wait to see her in some higher profile matches.
I love any match with Mia Yim involved, she has improved so much so fast and just keeps getting better. I'd like to see her involved in more top level matches and even title contention in the near future.
I saw a little of Saraya Knight back in NJ for Vol. 53, But that was nothing compared to this past weekend. That woman is downright scary, and yet I understand why many people like her. She is so good at what she does, and the birthday stuff and the way she just stared at that guy doing the 'yes' chant was hilarious.
3G rolls on as tag champs, they had some great matches but I think I liked their match with Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb the most.
Melanie Cruise once again showed what she is capable of doing, but I just keep getting the feeling that she has nothing definitive to do. I thought she would be in a higher position by now, but I don't know. I like how she was emulating The Undertaker(that tombstone on Su Yung was sick). And in response to Woo, the Tombstone is actually the safest piledriver you can do.(on a side note I think Su got hurt before she took the tombstone).
I was happy to see Hiroyo make it on this show, her promo in English was too cute, and I enjoyed Hikaru Shida as well. The joshis usually don't disappoint, and they did not.
Everything involving Melissa, Mercedes, and Lufisto was enjoyable. I liked how Lufisto was built up to be the main challenger of the weekend for Melissa. After seeing Melissa receive her award, and hearing her talk about cleaning up Shimmer, and how she acted with the fans, I dubbed her the 'Princess of Shimmer'(when I told her that she said others have said that also). The team up with Mercedes has so much that could be done with it IMO. Two of the last originals taking over Shimmer and 'cleaning out' those that are not worthy to challenge the 'Princess'(I'm going on a tangent...I digress...)
All in all it was an enjoyable weekend, despite a lot of key people not being there and I will be looking to return in the Spring.
P.S. I was surprised to see Alison Danger, especially running out into the ring(didn't know who it was at first). I'm glad she's doing okay, and will be around, but I hope she takes it easy with the in ring action.
Saraya said "I've been wrestling submission style since I was 18 years old" to which a fan (maybe me )responded "back in 1938."
I spent the rest of the taping in fear for my life after that, since Saraya's response was a simple "you're going to die."
