Just recorded an appearance on the Uncle Mike & Tom Show, was on the show for nearly 90 minutes. A lot of fun, and I hope it reflects on the recording. Should be up tomorrow.

There were some guys sitting near me that kept making inappropriate comments about boobs and weight. I didn't see them on Sunday so I'm hoping they just came in off the street and weren't regulars. I give the wrestlers a hell of a lot of credit. I have no idea how they can put up with that kind of bs. I think I overheard the word "cellulite" used at one point in my section (not as a jeer, but in a dismissive tone), and there was an immediate "don't go there" type of reaction to those around whoever said it. A line was crossed, but I thought the reaction was impressive. If somebody around you is being a dick, it seems like a sincere "cut it out" is enough to get them to stop, even if they've had a few. These performers have to have thick skins, period, but still, they're human. Drunk or not, I thought the fans were pretty respectful, even when heckling the heels. I know I said I was done commenting on the topic, but I should point out that the further away we get from PG, the more that may change, just sayin'.

Sounds like a creepmeister to me!
My first thought was "at least he's only grabbing people's hands/arms" but still!
Not cool, cheesecake guy. I like to eat cheesecake as much as the next person, but it sounds like he needs to recognize some personal boundaries. Wonder how he'd feel if a guy came up to him and did that?
Now that you mention it, I might have met him at the afterparty, though memory is hazy, he was bragging about something. I hesitate to mention it if it's not the same person though.

It wasn't until I read through this thread and got to the part about hanging out with the wrestlers that I realized that I spent a large chunk of Sunday night hanging out with Bryce Remsburg. C'est la referee.

For what it's worth, I though the crowd was far less annoying that the last set of tapings.

Agreed 100%. This crowd was far more pleasant to be in than the ones in October. A few truly small quibbles but otherwise, infintely more clever, respectful and amusing. I can only hope this continues to be the case from here on out.

Perhaps it's the "new" factor, but this will rank among my most favorite SHIMMER trips of all time, especially all of Sunday.

New factor? I guess it's a good sign that y'all are complaining about each other, rather than complaining about the shows.

trust me... the SHIMER joke wore thin for me in about 5 minutes... and I was part of those morons by the entrance... at least I knew when to stop. and kept trying to stop them sometimes... can't win'em all, though. Sorry guys.
edit: and as far as cheesecake guy goes, I'm with you. He bugs the hell out of me, too, and is constantly stroking his ego. Every small conversation was about him going backstage to WWE Payback because "he was a celebrity", annoying as hell.

About the only complaint I had from the whole weekend was the still picture guy on Sunday who just laid against the nearside ring post for almost the whole day blocking off half the ring. The wrestling and people were splendid.

Tony and Crusty-Right back at ya. Thanks. Let's do it again.
Kurgan-I learned my lesson on my knees and it was my fault, I know better but in all of my ringside seating it was the first two rail shots to the knees I have taken. We have an awesome community of which I am still a relatively young member of (relative to tapings at least). I was just surprised by a couple of the comments. Am glad to read that someone said something because it seem to get much better as the weekend progressed.
To all, that was the only issue I had. I think, just as the previous two tapings I had attended, the emotional level built all weekend, and also tempted out appetite for the fall show. All in all I have no complaints, well, except my knees are still wore, but that's my fault!!!!
This is an amazing group of passionate fans who welcome everyone with open arms. I am proud to be part of this community, as I am say constantly now, TID.
Sorry for causing a lengthy discussion, not my intent.

I ment that, the more recent shows tend to seem better than older events because they're obviously fresh in my mind and I'm still buzzing about them. Is this set of tapings better than all the previous ones I went to? Without going back to watching those shows, I couldn't tell you. But still, these were some amazing shows.

You don't think you need to worry about it until you feel the pain! I always remember the time at an AAW show where Colt Cabana was thrown into it, and rammed my knee. After a loud "AH", Colt, while still selling being knocked out, rubbed my knee to make it feel better.
